The Staff Accountant is responsible for analyzing and maintaining financial records for a large healthcare organization.
As a Staff Accountant at Community Health Systems, you'll play a vital role in supporting our purpose to help people get well and live healthier by providing safe, quality healthcare, building enduring relationships with our patients, and providing value for the people and communities we serve. Required:
Two (2) or more years of experience in Accounting/Finance
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university
Strong understanding of general accounting knowledge and principles
Strong computer skills
Preferred:
Oracle
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Google Suite
Six Sigma Certified
About the Opportunity:
Completing general accounting functions including but not limited to; posting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end-close.
Preparing financial reports, including cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely information on the organization's cash position.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure that financial records are accurately recorded and reported.
Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to accounting.
Continuously improving accounting processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the quality of data.
Willingness to learn Oracle and leverage the training, reporting, and process components to excel at role
