What You'll Do:

Inspire Home Loans, (a Century Communities, Inc. company) is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting Team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting team in various professional-level accounting duties, including various bank and general ledger reconciliations. Ensures that transactions comply with GAAP and company policies and procedures. This position will be located in the Newport Beach, CA office. Potential hybrid after introductory/training period.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

• Process all daily funding requests for next Business day

• Process same day funding requests

• Update and import fed reference numbers to Encompass

• Update daily funding sheets to monitor warehouse haircut usage

• Process unfund and return wires

• Process GNMA Custodian account shortage and Overage wires

• Assist in identifying funding discrepancies and actively work with Closers to reconcile

• Handle all funding adjustment wires

• Prepare and process daily Warehouse and Revenue entries

• Process daily and Monthly wire transfers for all Trust accounts

• eRAMP Registrations for loans funded prior day

• Update Encompass with MERS Registrations done via eRAMP

• Run and save Bank statements and Warehouse reports

• Prepare month-end entries and accruals

• Prepare general ledger reconciliations for Funding Clearing account

• Provide support and assist with projects as needed

• Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills and Background:

• Computer Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite- strong Excel skills, required

• Knowledge in Loan Vision (industry software), a plus

• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of employees

• Must have exhibited initiation skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple projects

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Prior experience working in a fast paced, month-end driven environment

Education and Experience:

• Accounting or finance Degree, preferred

• Must have 3+ years of proven accounting experience

• Strong understanding of accounting principles

• Mortgage or financial services experience, a plus

Compensation: Inspire Home Loans intends to offer the selected candidate a salary in the range of $70.000- $80,000 (DOE) plus an annual bonus potential. Actual offers will be based on a variety of factors including experience. Employees will have access to paid time off, medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance and the Company's 401k plan.
