Staff Accountant

CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is looking for a Staff Accountant to add to our Accounting team. As the Staff Accountant , we are looking for someone who is able to do the following:

Work closely with the Accounting Manager with the month-end and year-end closing process Prepare journal entries, monthly balance sheets, income statements, and internal profit and loss statements Ensure all Accounting tasks and financial records comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Reconcile balance sheet accounts Support various audits Work on process improvements Other duties as assigned Please note: External Candidates will only be screened and interviewed if an Internal Candidate is not selected. Required Skills Knowledge of general financial accounting Working knowledge of GovCon ERP systems ( Deltek Costpoint) Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Excel) Effective oral and written communication skills Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Required Experience 3 years of related experience BA/BS in Accounting and/or Finance from an accredited college/university ( Other education along with commensurate experience may be subs t ituted) CALIBRE and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer and supports transitioning service members, veterans and individuals with disabilities.
