Full job description

As the Staff Account, you will be responsible for providing accurate financial recording, reconciling and compiling of data for the Finance Department as well as the company. Additionally, you will be responsible for properly applying accounting principles in cash applications, adjustments and deletions and account reconciliations. The Staff Accountant will research and analyze financial data providing support to other accounting procedures within the department. You will provide aide to the Assistant Controller in producing, reconciling and delivering timely and accurate financial information used for company reporting and presentation.

Responsibilities include accounting system data reconciliation, maintaining accurate financial records for reporting, monitor company inventory values and supports warehouse operations when needed for cycle counts and audit reconciliations.

Essential Functions:

• Manages own time and resources to achieve identified objectives; is diligent in meeting all communicated/defined deadlines. Monitors and updates tickets/tasks/activities assigned to them in company CRM.

• Applies all cash receipts, makes adjustments and/or deletions in company accounting software.

• Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing data. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

• Prepares journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Responds to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assists with internal and external audits.

• Provides assistance to both the Assistant Controller and Controller providing assistance as needed on month end processes and any special projects. May be requested to assist other Department members with their workload (as needed/requested).

• Performs the cycle counts on company warehouse locations on a scheduled/regular basis. Ensures inventory reporting is accurate and reported accordingly.

Position Requirements:

• 3+ years accounting/accounts payable

• BS Degree required

• California Drivers License and proof of insurance

• Punctuality and regular attendance
