Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing and preparing all Tech Air bank accounts in a timely manner.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

Work with Tech Air branches to resolve all outstanding items, record the appropriate monthly cash journal entries, record ACH/wire transactions and summarize monthly cash balances.

  • Retrieve online bank statements in a timely manner.

  • Prepare manual and electronic bank reconciliation statements that include outstanding deposits, checks and any adjusting entries found between the general ledger and bank statement.

  • Perform research on why entries could not be matched completely.

  • Work with other departments in researching all aspects of issues.

  • Handle phone calls and electronic communications with branches regarding any bank reconciliation questions.

  • Participate in the bank rec meetings.

  • Monthly closing responsibilities.

SCOPE This position is supporting the Praxair Income Tax in its income tax accounting for quarterly and year financial statement reporting, the preparation of Federal, State and local income tax returns and Federal and State examinations. In addition, the position works closely with Treasury to ensure payments are timely made and cleared. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * Ensure estimated and annual income tax payments are timely made and confirmed. * Reconcile income tax payable/receivable for legal entities. * Manage payment notices and correspondence with taxing jurisdictions. * Assist with periodic tax provision calculations and with quarterly and year-end tax provision reporting * Preparation of city tax returns * Maintenance of income tax systems * Maintenance of payment and due date schedules for all of the Income Tax Departments critical deliverables QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree required; Business or Finance preferred. * At least 2-3 years of experience either in public accounting and/or private corporate tax * Must be a strong self-directed professional with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced demanding environment, handle multi-tasks, problem solve and effectively follow-through. * Work collaboratively with Income Tax, Treasury and Accounting. * Experience with Microsoft Suite Software.
