Staff Accountant

An Allied Universal Company, Risk and Advisory Consulting Services (RACS), is hiring a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will maintain the general ledger and ensure the integrity and accuracy of account reconciliations and financial statements prepared as part of the month-end close process. The Staff Accountant will also support the annual audit examination conducted by the company's independent auditors, and complete various ad hoc projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support Assistant Controller in month-end close procedures including booking journal entries, account reconciliations and analytical support

• Maintain sub-ledgers and schedules for Balance sheet accounts

• Prepare bank reconciliations

• Collaborate and support the operations and finance team to provide reporting and analytics

• Annual audit examination assistance and verification of documents

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience corporate accounting or audit

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented

• Ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines

• Proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology

• Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED):

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate completed or in progress
