The role will commence with a temporary position in the Budgeting Department assisting the team with day to day budgeting activities, then moving to the GL Team.Responsible for accounting duties including general ledger, financial statements, and fixed assets. Maintains system financial reporting and parameter changes, as well as prepare general ledger account reconciliations. Assists with the preparation of financial statements, month-end closing, and consolidates financial statements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Temporary support of Budget Team for 2020 Budget.
Maintains timely and accurate analysis of general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers;
Assists with the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and month-end closing;
Maintains bank reconciliation and fixed assets reconciliation;
Consolidates subsidiary company monthly financial statements, and maintains all subsidiary companies' detail books;
Maintains and coordinates monthly general ledger accounts reconciliations;
Maintains system financial reporting and parameter changes;
Acts as back-up for cash management: wire transfers, stop payments, coordinates with the bank staff, and analyzes cash balance and investment fund;
Assists in audit preparation;
Assists Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager/Controller as necessary;
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 - 4 years related work experience;
Extensive knowledge of dual-entry accounting and general ledger maintenance
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent presentation and counseling skills
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
Good problem solving and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
