PURPOSE:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accountingfunctions including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheetschedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. This position willsupport the Senior Accountant/Controller in carrying out the responsibilitiesof the accounting department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting with a minimum of five (5) years of experience.

  • Experiencewith ERP software, NetSuite software a plus.

  • Previous experience with

Oilfield Services, manufacturing, inventory and/or fixed assets managementstrongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of sales/usetax in oilfield applications is a plus.

  • Experiencewith ERP Software, NetSuite software is a plus.

POSITIONRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze financial results including comparisons tobudgets/prior periods, investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.

  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end closeprocedures including account analysis and reconciliation.

  • Document financial transactions by entering accountinformation and reconcile accounts.

  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation andrequesting disbursements.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial managementreports and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met and are incompliance with accepted policies and procedures.

  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.

  • Assist with maintaining and analyzing budgets,preparing periodic reports to compare budgeted costs to actual costs
