The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accountingfunctions including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheetschedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. This position willsupport the Senior Accountant/Controller in carrying out the responsibilitiesof the accounting department.
Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting with a minimum of five (5) years of experience.
Experiencewith ERP software, NetSuite software a plus.
Previous experience with
Oilfield Services, manufacturing, inventory and/or fixed assets managementstrongly preferred.
Knowledge of sales/usetax in oilfield applications is a plus.
Experiencewith ERP Software, NetSuite software is a plus.
Analyze financial results including comparisons tobudgets/prior periods, investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.
Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end closeprocedures including account analysis and reconciliation.
Document financial transactions by entering accountinformation and reconcile accounts.
Prepare payments by verifying documentation andrequesting disbursements.
Assist in the preparation of financial managementreports and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met and are incompliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
Assist with maintaining and analyzing budgets,preparing periodic reports to compare budgeted costs to actual costs
