We are looking for a Staff Accountant for our Chicago office. The Individual filling this position will report to the Corporate Controller and handle a wide range of accounting duties.
You'll be responsible to:
Ensure company financials are prepared accurately and on time; coordinate with our Accounting Supervisor, AP and AR managers to close the books each month
Calculate and issue financial and operating reports and metrics
Own 3Q's management accounting and help ensure accordance with US GAAP
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness
Report variances from the budget and previous months and investigate drivers
Ensure tax, audit and accounting compliance
Coordinate with the company's Finance Management team and Tax Accountant to ensure timely and accurate corporate tax filings
Work with the company's auditors to ensure timely and favorable audit results
Assist on ad-hoc projects, including potential merger and acquisition related activities
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Solid knowledge of GAAP, tax, audit and legal regulations
3+ years as an accountant
CPA certification is a plus
