Immediate opening for STAFF ACCOUNTANT with our San Diego accounting department. Western Pump, Inc. and Doehrman - a Western Pump Company are a growing Southern California and Arizona area fueling, vehicle maintenance equipment and lubrication systems contractor and service/maintenance provider. Business System and Workstation Support Financial and Operational Report design and development Accounting Close Cycle Duties Fixed Assets and Depreciation Prepaid and Accrual Account Maintenance and Reconciliation Reconcile Bank Statements Monthly Sales and Use Tax calculation and submission Fixed Assets and Depreciation Maintain General Ledger and reconcile accounts Assits with Audits, Budgeting and Forecasting Job Cost Work In Progress review Other Accounting duties as assigned. Staff Accountant Threshold Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or in Business Management with an Accounting emphasis Demonstrated experience in Accounting or Accounting Support Quickly learns new processes and use of new systems Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem solving ability Effective interpersonal and English verbal and written communication skills Accounting software/ERP system experience Intermediate MS Excel proficiency Job cost experience a plus Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
