Job Summary

St. Therese Academy is seeking an innovative and ambitious individual who is capable of developing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) specials curriculum for our students. STEM will not take the place of Science classes, but will supplement student learning. As the STEM Specials teacher, this individual will develop and implement an engaging STEM curriculum for Kindergarten through sixth grade classes. STEM instruction will happen once per week with each class- with half the class (approximately 16-17 students) attending at a time. Professional Qualifications: Associate degree or higher One year of experience working with children preferred Clear criminal background check (a clear Livescan for the Diocese of San Diego is a condition of employment) Positive professional references and recommendations Hours: This is a part time position from 12:00-3:30pm Monday through Wednesday. (10.5 hours/week). Classes will take place Monday from 12:35-3:05pm, Tuesdays from 12:35-1:25pm with the remainder of the day for prep work (planning and grading), and on Wednesdays from 12:35-3:05pm.
