GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Sr. Director, Compliance Program Integration

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position Purpose

Oversee merger and acquisition compliance monitoring from the point of transactional due diligence through deal close and integration of the GIA Compliance Program. This individual will be responsible for performing compliance desk reviews of platform program documents, analyze and compile written reports, serve as the liaison for conducting compliance baseline assessments in collaboration with Operations, Legal, Internal Audit, IT, and external vendors, when warranted. The Manager will contribute and support the GIA Compliance Liaison Program by providing real-time content, training resources, and improvement opportunities in collaboration with the Sr Director of Healthcare Compliance Operations and overall direction of the Chief Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Identify, review, and monitor all compliance risks identified in third party due diligence reviews for each newly acquired entity. Creates plan for addressing and mitigating risks pre and post close of the acquisitions

  • Research and identifying areas within due diligence reviews related to compliance, privacy, etc. that can be enhanced or updated to meet the competitive growth performance.

  • Conduct open source and public records research - sanction screenings and pre-diligence checks.

  • Quickly summarize information from multiple sources into concise and analytical assessments.

  • Ability to prioritize projects and assignments on multiple topics, while meeting tight timelines for deliverables.

  • Rigorous self-review standards to ensure that reports, follow-up, and corrective actions meet a high-level of quality.

  • Maintain current knowledge of state requirements relative to regulatory compliance, and privacy standards.

  • Manage and facilitate work of regional compliance liaisons.

  • Occasional travel to practice locations for on-site training and consultation.

  • Other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in healthcare administration, law or related field required; master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Three to five (3-5) years of compliance, HIPAA privacy, and internal investigation experience at a managerial level.

OTHER QUALIFICATION: CHC, CHCP, CCEP, or CHRC certifications preferred

  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with employees, organization leaders, and external stakeholders.

  • Analytic skills: ability to define and identify potential compliance risks and develop practical solutions.

  • Attention to detail: must have a keen eye for detail in all aspects of identifying, documenting, and addressing potential risks.

  • Collaboration: must demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance across the organization.

  • Integrity: must lead by example in demonstrating a sense of ethics and honesty in all aspects of the work and interactions with employees and stakeholders.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Document Management Systems

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment: Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation, stooping and bending to files and supplies, mobility to complete errands, or sitting for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to twenty pounds. Occasionally the work environment may be stressful.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Normal office environment. May view computer screens for extended periods of time. Occasional evening or weekend work.
