Design, configure, deploy and optimize operating systems, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
Thorough understanding of building, designing and deploying operating systems, software and configuration tasks to end-user workstations and servers through the use of automation deployment tools.
Design, document, implement and optimize solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Design, implement and manage Active Directory environments focusing on cross-domain functionality, GPO driven policies, and user/group management.
Implement and maintain a configuration management system to assure compliance and adherence to best practices, security policies and disaster recovery requirements for all systems.
Research, test and deploy application, operating system and hardware patches/updates.
Coordinate updates, outages, maintenance windows, and other potential service impacting activities that could disrupt the availability of safety critical systems.
Design, implement, allocate, and optimize SAN/NAS based storage across multiple vendor solutions to virtual and physical infrastructures.
Maintain and expand the existing backup strategy and infrastructure for operational efficiency, including data staging, recovery and hardware migration.
Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and programs that increase system reliability/availability and strengthen disaster recovery policies and procedures.
Experience with working with and configuring services such as SMTP, DNS, IIS, FTP, CIFS and NFS.
Lead root cause analysis and provide 2nd/3rd level support for all system hardware, software, operating systems and safety critical applications.
Work with infrastructure teams, application teams, and service providers to ensure solid designs and solutions to maintain secure and highly available systems.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic 7x24 environment while effectively prioritizing tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor s Degree in a Technology related discipline and/or at least 4-5 years of related experience in Information Technology for critical Enterprise infrastructures.
Strong leadership communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner.
5 7 years of experience in developing and implementing large scale, complex, highly available Infrastructure architecture supporting critical business applications.
3 years of experience with VMware vSphere (ESX) and vCenter.
3 years of experience with SAN and NAS Storage.
3 years of experience with Monitoring Tools.
3 Years of experience administering Windows Server and/or Red Hat Linux.
Availability for 24X7 on call support.

Desired Skills:

A thorough understanding of and experience with computer based systems and associated networking architectures. The ideal candidate will have: experience working with large complex projects; experience with Windows and Linux based computer systems, Microsoft clusters, Windows scripting, Active Directory, database administration, Storage Area Networks (SAN), computer imaging and hardware / software troubleshooting, antivirus protection.

Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and have the ability to think and work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate should possess a demonstrated ability to work closely with NOC and field personnel. Must be willing to work irregular shifts and provide on call coverage in a 24/7 environment.

This professional will ensure that the Lockheed Martin networks and IT systems are managed, controlled, and compliant with LM policies and procedures. This position is responsible for successfully providing UNIX/Linux Server System Administration tasks on UNIX/Linux servers. This position performs as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the UNIX/Linux server environment by successfully analyzing, implementing, developing, troubleshooting, negotiating, and making recommendations as to product selection, implementation, and development. This includes routine updates, major upgrades, and on-going maintenance and support to UNIX and Red Hat Linux (RHEL) Servers. The Systems Administrator Sr will also work requests for IT assistance related to servers, software and/or hardware problems, domain accounts and password issues. The Systems Administrator Sr assists users with resolving technical issues with applications, network connectivity and hardware. The team member will assist with Cybersecurity tasks to include performing environment vulnerability scans, remediation of vulnerabilities by applying recommended patches provided by multiple vendors. They will ensure that all Lockheed Martin assets and software are properly accounted for, managed, and controlled. The position also supports a 24 X 7 weekly on-call rotation schedule. This professional utilizes troubleshooting skills to provide users timely and effective solutions to problems. They develop technical solutions to problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Responsibilities also include: * Utilizing ServiceNow, work customer reported server/desktop support issues * Analyze and resolve issues related to the network, infrastructure, and tools * Performing successful root cause analysis for complex problem resolution * Performing some analysis and assessment of server performance and storage capacity and planning for future needs * Performing routine server/workstation O/S patching, upgrades, vulnerability/security management and file system maintenance, most of which will occur after-hours and on weekends to avoid customer outages * User account management * Maintain system documentation * Successfully installing server systems and related hardware * Successfully interfacing with hardware service controllers and configuring for lights out management * Successfully installing and configuring operating systems, software applications and programs * Ability to act independently in closed area environment and lead projects based on program requirements * Provide input to architected solutions based on customer requirements and coordination with vendors on hardware and software implementation, problems, patches, and upgrades.
