Sr. Web Platform Engineer, Core Components

What does a successful Sr. Web Platform Engineer do?

• Clover is looking for a highly skilled, motivated and thoughtful Sr. Web Platform Engineer to join our growing Web Platform team, someone who enjoys a light-hearted work environment

• This team's primary objective is to provide Clover web engineers with a design system library of composable React components that is easy to use across all products and accessible to people with disabilities

What you will do:

• As a Sr. Web Platform Engineer, you will be a member of the Web Platform team focusing on Core Components, you will contribute to the design, implementation, support and improvement of foundational React-based components that will be used by product engineering teams to drive Clover web experiences

• Build and maintain UI components, design and build shared web components (focused on building reusable components)

• Contribute to innovation, improvements and the evolution of our patterns, practices and foundational tech (focused on components, page templating, styles etc)

• Support web engineering teams as they integrate and build on our web platforms

• Maintain and enhance Clover's internal component marketplace

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably Comp Sci or Engineering) or equivalent experience

• 8+ years of Front-End Development experience with deep knowledge of React / Webpack / modern tools, Typescript and experience with CSAS, SASS, CSS-in-JS and modern styling technologies

• Experience building / maintaining large-scale web applications, frameworks or libraries

• Experience with web accessibility and WCAG compliance

• Experience delivering web UIs as a feature developer

• At least 2 years of experience building components using React Context API, from scratch

• At least 5 years of Javascript and HTML ecosystems

• Experience with source control and CI systems - Clover uses Github Enterprise and Jenkins

Salary Range

$108,900.00 - $186,800.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
