Key Responsibilities
Lead the design of drinking water distribution and/or wastewater collection systems and assist in designing wastewater and water treatment plants.
Assess the need for drinking water and/or wastewater treatment systems based on current and projected future population and/or development demands; conduct feasibility studies for the construction of public utility infrastructure to meet identified needs.
Analyze, or assist with analysis of, various water and/or wastewater treatment technologies, and recommend the most effective method.
Design and develop specifications for assigned projects.
Conduct feasibility and related studies regarding the collection, treatment, or distribution of water or wastewater, and prepare written technical reports.
Provide clients with technical support and subject matter expertise on water resources related issues.
Conduct appropriate cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects.
Align with marketing team on RFQs, presentations, and scoping projects.
Train and mentor junior engineers.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
BS or MS in Civil Engineering or closely related field
Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer
Strongly preferred experience designing water and/or wastewater treatment plants, in part or in whole
10+ years of experience in public infrastructure projects related to Water Resources field
Completing projects in multiple states is required
Project and / or Client Management experience is required
Ability to guide junior staff as well as participate in the design and detailing of all aspects of small- to large-scale multi-discipline water/wastewater projects of varying technical complexity
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and time management skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client needs and deadlines
Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
