Job Summary:

Responsible for participating as a technical expert. Plans and directs project teams, troubleshoots operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, contributes to new product implementation, implements existing products and services, and the provides overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Applies expert engineering methodologies in one or more engineering areas. Interfaces with vendors, engineering, and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies, and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drives issues through closure engaging all appropriate resources.

  • Leads technical bridges and provides troubleshooting direction.

  • Functions with great autonomy and independently provides guidance and recommended solutions to complex technical issues within and outside the department.

  • Senior level experience with WebEx, Cisco video conferencing, Tandberg, and all related components.

  • Experience with TMS, Expressways, on-prem and cloud registered video endpoints. Experience with Microsoft Teams a plus.

  • Strong VOIP skillset, specifically Cisco CUCM. Ability to design and manage the call manager environment.

  • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborate, and cross-train other engineers.

  • Acts as an advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies, and processes. Ensures projects are fully integrated into the operations environment including lifecycle problem management from front line CARE through Engineering.

  • Creates data and metric systems to track operational workflows; maintains records of results and feedback. Analyzes data and metrics, identifies problem areas, and provides actionable insight to management.

  • Provides input to engineering and vendors on defects and required enhancements. Provides consultative direction and develops long-term objectives and plans. Determines resources, technology, and course of action to achieve results.

  • Reports performance related to operations and project status to management. Identifies and recommends areas requiring change or modification.

  • Performs complex and routine maintenance tests for designated areas of engineering. Identifies and isolate issues. Ensures that all maintenance is properly validated to minimize subscriber impact to (ideally) zero.

  • Plans and directs multiple projects, often spanning different engineering disciplines within the organization, to develop strategies, proposals, and communications plans.

  • Leads the integration of projects into operations including instrumentation, automation, standardization, and methods/procedures. Applies expert engineering methodologies in one or more engineering areas

  • Advocates for internal/external customers' business leads--must influence and drive Comcast executives to make new investments in technology and opportunities. Serves as internal expert within department relative to the most complex development problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.

  • Provides functional, team, and program leadership on a regular basis on multiple projects, spanning different engineering disciplines within the organization. Takes the lead on developing new principles and concepts.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Job Specification:

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) suite of applications & associated cloud solutions. This position focuses on leading innovation efforts, implementing best-in-class solutions, providing KPI's to Business and also coordinating with managed service provider. The successful candidate should have a strong background on financial systems & processes, reporting and technology landscape. Core Responsibilities: * Ensures programs are envisioned, designed, developed, and implemented across the enterprise to meet business needs. Interfaces with the enterprise teams and other functional areas to ensure that most efficient solution is developed to meet business requirements. * Ensures solutions are well engineered, operable, scalable, maintainable and delivered on schedule. Should be able to present them to peers & management. * Ensure that critical system based processes meet expected deadlines and service levels agreements. * Tracks and documents requirements for enterprise development projects and enhancements. * Assists in the planning and design of new or upgraded systems. Interacts with other departments to implement improvements in process. * Work with the release and change management lead, ensure changes being deployed to production systems follow appropriate change procedures and are amply tested. * Ensure compliance with SOX (Audit) requirements. * Primary interaction with on-site resources and indirectly with offshore resources. * Help drive the long term strategy for Financial Systems and related processes. * Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects.
