At Verizon Connect, our UX team is made up of passionate user experience professionals with experience in user research, usability testing, and design. As a member of our UX team, you will be embedded with the product teams and contribute throughout the entire product development life cycle. Collaboration is key to 2 our success, and user research should be one of many key players in creating a better-connected product experience. You'll be expected to leverage a variety of qualitative techniques to capture and share research often, and to partner with teams to make sure findings are actionable. We encourage a detail-oriented approach and a sense of autonomy, as you will be expected to be able to think critically and act as leader


  • Establish UX research efforts at Verizon Connect (centered around fleet/telematics customers) and disseminate best practices.

  • Manage multiple research vendors/ partners for recruiting, data analysis & completion of research.

  • Develop framework/methodologies for research to understand users, customers & stakeholders.

  • Partner with Verizon marketing, product, design, and development teams to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Plan/conduct user research and communicate results throughout Verizon Connect.

What we're looking for...

  • You have a solid track record (7+ years professional experience) of conducting consumer & Enterprise user research and / or user testing and applying insights within a B2C or B2B company.

  • You are an expert in qualitative user research including sampling/recruiting, contextual inquiry, field research and design & user testing using in-depth interviews, surveys and focus groups.

  • You are adept at diverse data analysis techniques for qualitative data & can be dangerous with quantitative data too.

  • You have experience applying Lean user research methodologies in your approach of planning, conducting and reporting on research.

  • You're self-directed and collaborative, and you'll be able to quickly assess company needs to develop and execute a roadmap. You identify key research questions and objectives in partnership with product, design and engineering teams.

  • You are adept at managing multiple research vendors through contracts, statement of works, etc. to partners for recruiting & data analysis.

  • You're curious and analytical: you know how to ask the right questions and get meaningful data to answer them. You have excellent communication skills and can help tell stories around insights that will help other teams execute on your findings.

  • You carry out research projects with the highest levels of customer awareness and business/brand reputation (especially if you have experience within commercial fleets/telematics).

  • You will partner with a cross-discipline design team (and agencies/vendors) to invent, execute and improve upon breakthrough solutions that our customers love.

  • You have a degree in HCI, Design research, Human Factors, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related subject, and have practical experience in applying insight holistically to better position end-user experiences across a multitude of product opportunities.

ABOUT THE ROLE Honeywell Connected Enterprise is looking for an experienced UX design researcher to help us capture and communicate the key insights that guide the product development process. The UX researcher role will determine the best approach to answering early product concept questions, deliver actionable results and recommendations to our internal partners, and work closely with the design team on iterative, evaluative research. While the primary focus of this role is research, the ideal candidate will offer a blended background as both a researcher and a designer, bringing a practical understanding of the factors that designers must consider in applying research findings to craft effective UX. As a Sr. UX Researcher you will: * Have a portfolio of past design and research work experience, deliverables, and ambitious innovation. * Design and conduct qualitative and ethnographic studies that inform product concepts; translate data into results that have a clear, direct impact on design. * Advise partners and team members on research opportunities and standard methodologies at various stages of the product concept process. * Effectively communicate customer insights to diverse audiences through writing and presentations; represent user research in product discussions. * Manage your own process: Identify and execute on high-impact projects, triage external requests, and bring projects to conclusion in time for the results to be useful. * Be comfortable with traveling to conduct site visits, engage with customers, and other hands-on research techniques. * Be comfortable presenting and speaking to medium-to-large groups. YOU MUST HAVE * 5- 10 years of hands-on experience with user insights and trends research, iterative prototype evaluation, value proposition assessment, concept testing, lab-based user testing, and field research. * 5- 10 years end-to-end experience with all aspects of the design research lifecycle (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, and executive presentations).
