As a User Experience (UX) Lead you'll be responsible for driving and facilitating ideation workshops and discovery research efforts, in addition to supporting the definition of user centered business and product strategies. This individual will regularly lead client discussions with engineering leads to support a defined vision of client solutions and is expected to lead interaction design and user-centered design deliverables (such as user scenarios, interactive prototypes, annotated wireframes, usability testing) for a variety of user interfaces including web sites, mobile applications, kiosks, wall screens, and enterprise tools. The UX Lead will support ongoing projects as well as new business in conjunction with the region's Practice Manager. A background or proficiency in identifying visual design trends with the ability to lead teams in designing best-in-class digital solutions is desired.

This individual reports to the Southwest/Central Region's Strategy & Design Practice Manager and will assist in growing the practice through sales and team mentorship including interdisciplinary team of creative designers, product managers and business analysts.

What you'll do at Insight:

  • You will expand and mentor the design team, elevate the presence of strategy and design within the region.

  • You will have an extensive and diverse portfolio displaying depth across enterprise and public facing apps with experience designing for big data, IoT, and the cloud, as well as Microsoft technologies, Apple iOS, and Android platforms.

  • You will ensure quality product and design delivery on each and every project is imperative to creating repeat projects and strengthening Insight's anchor client partnerships.

  • Your professional experience will demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and leadership across client and team relationships.

  • You will be an expert User-centered designer with a user centered design mindset and be able to successfully balance the end user/ human need with the overarching business objectives and technology considerations of all projects.

  • You will be responsible for product and design-related delivery within the geo and expected to have experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.

  • You will be responsible for supporting our sales organization in developing new business opportunities and creating meaningful relationships with new clients to help win exciting new engagements for the business.

  • Possess knowledge of industry-standard best-practices and design software

  • Present and effectively communicate how a clearly defined vision and strategy will help achieve goals

  • Oversee the delivery and creative track across a portfolio of projects working with the region's Practice Manager ensuring budget and schedule are healthy, and client satisfaction remains high

  • Collaborate with clients to translate business goals into unique brand and product experiences

  • Manage a team of UX, UI designers, and business analysts providing mentorship and direction to teammates

  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless delivery

  • Build strong relationships with clients, and support the sales organization in developing new business opportunities

  • Have the ability to keep up with new creative technologies and analyze new trends to guide client vision and innovative solutions
