We're looking for someone to join our team as a Sr. Ultrasound Technologist who:

Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians. Produces images of internal body tissues in order to diagnose and monitor a variety of conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy and cancer. Supervises and mentors ultrasound personnel. Maintains equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Uses ultrasound equipment to direct high-frequency sound waves to a prescribed area of the patient's body and capture quality images that describe the composition, shape and motion of tissues, organs, vessels and pathology. Summarizes, documents, verifies and presents images, findings, calculations and measurements to physicians for diagnoses. Adheres to ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, precautions and standards.

  • Provides direct patient care, including assessing patient condition and ability to cooperate. Positions patients and equipment, prepares patients for procedures and continually monitors and records vital signs. Observes for reactions and signs of impending complications and intervening as needed.

  • Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.

  • Trains, supervises and mentors students and ultrasound personnel. Manages staff scheduling as needed. Continually monitors for and implements performance improvement opportunities.

  • Performs routine maintenance of ultrasound equipment and manages supply inventory.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred

  • Master's Degree: Preferred

Work Experience:

  • Three years sonography experience: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification: Required

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography: Preferred

Located in a town filled with charm and rich in character, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is an acute care hospital and 21 clinics serving communities from the Mendocino coast to Lake County. In addition to standard acute services, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley has a level IV trauma center, maternity and level II intensive care nursery services, an extensive physical rehabilitation program, outpatient surgery and diagnostic center and an advanced wound care center. Its network of clinics include primary care and specialty care, from internal medicine, gastroenterology and urology to otolaryngology. We're looking for someone to join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant (Outpatient) who: Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife. Essential Functions: * Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers. * Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician. * Performs audiometry and vision testing. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned. You'll be successful with the following qualifications: Education: * High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred Required Licenses/Certifications: * Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required * Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: Preferred * Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred * Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: Required Adventist Health NW Ukiah CA
