  • Estimated annual base pay: $113,700(minimum) - $142,100(midpoint) - $170,500(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Senior Trade Compliance Specialist, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This position supports the Business Group's compliance with the trade regulations governing the Company's business. The Sr. Trade Compliance Specialist coordinates the tactical aspects of export and import licensing and acts as a Business Group Subject Matter Expert in Trade Compliance functions in accordance with U.S. Government Regulations.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Serves as a primary point of contact within the Business Group for export/import transactions. Business Group lead for promoting compliance with U.S. Government Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. Treasury - Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) relating to the export of Company products, services, transfers of technical data, employment of foreign nationals and all other import/export licensing and compliance matters.

  • Supports Contract Operations team by reviewing customer/supplier contracts and providing recommended changes or alternate language to Trade Compliance provisions to ensure Woodward's compliance.

  • Leads the Business Group in the structuring export licensing strategy though the use of licenses and agreements for complex business models.

  • Conducts internal Trade Compliance audits and reviews within the Business Group.

  • Develops materials and cadence for the Business Group training on Trade Compliance topics.

  • Works with relevant stakeholders to determine appropriate jurisdiction and classification of products and technologies.

  • Drives the processing and approval of applications for export/import licenses, commodity jurisdictions, advisory opinions, agreements (e.g., Technical Assistance Agreement, Manufacturing License Agreement, Distribution Agreement) for U.S. and international operations.

  • Monitors license and agreement submissions throughout the review and approval process and resolve issues as needed.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) required. Alternatively, 8+ years equivalent experience can be considered in lieu of the degree.

  • 5+ years of equivalent experience with administering the Trade Compliance program of a multinational company required.

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise.

  • Familiarity with international export regulations is a plus.

  • Technical expertise regarding U.S. export laws and regulations (EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and Customs).

  • Experience implementing Trade Compliance Programs.

  • Working knowledge of the Commodity Control List and the U.S. Munitions List.
