GENERAL FUNCTION: This key position is responsible for driving Bancorp product sales growth and continued development and enhancement of Commercial Payment Products.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive Bancorp sales for product(s) within the Commercial Payments Product line of business

  • Develop strategy plan and product plan to meet revenue and market share goals

  • Develop and enhance Commercial Card products

  • Conduct market segment studies - product development understand and analyze competition in all affiliate markets

  • Perform role of liaison between several areas of the bank, including Sales, Operations, IT, Legal, Audit, Legal, and Risk.

  • Conduct sales forums and roundtable discussions

  • Implement and track product blitz/campaigns

  • Perform business forecasting and modeling

  • Generate qualified lead list (cross-sell, new prospects, etc.)

  • Maintain and enhance knowledge, current and evolving concepts, practices, processes, laws/regulations, and technologies in financial management

  • Develop and distribute sales tools, product agreements and quality surveys

  • Monitor product performance against established quality factors

  • Conduct vendor selection and relations; contract negotiations

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or finance required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in Deposit Products and Liquidity Solutions , Sales or Operations
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management & Development with an emphasis on sales, delivery of products to market and profitability management

Key points of knowledge:

  • Understand the dynamics of ECR, Deposit Assessment Fee and TM discounting

  • Understand the spectrum of liquidity solutions on balance sheet (DDA, hybrid, MMDA, Sweep) and off-balance sheet (MMMF, short term investment instruments)

  • Understand the value the deposit business brings to the bank (FTP valuation, negative collected balances)

  • Familiar with Regulator change Dodd Frank to Basel III has sweeping changes to the liquidity landscape

Leadership Experience

  • Able to engage with senior levels of the bank (like ALCO) and engage the head of Commercial and Treasury and their leadership team to share trends and industry insights to articulate and debate strategic direction=
  • Managing competitive intelligence (needed for solution innovation, standard rate setting, and solution pricing)

Additional:

  • Experience working in matrix management and multi-site environments

  • Collaboration and relationship management skills required

  • Priority management and time management skills

  • Extensive experience/ability to influence and negotiate with individuals outside span of control

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills, with the ability to present and interact with all levels of the organization

  • Strong analytical, financial and strategic skills
