The Company:

Dova is a pharmaceutical company focused on acquiring, developing, and commercializing drug candidates for rare diseases where there is a high unmet need, with an initial focus on addressing thrombocytopenia. Dova's lead drug product, Avatrombopag, indicated for the treatment of thrombocytopenia in adult patients with chronic liver disease scheduled to undergo a procedure, was US FDA approved in May 2018 and subsequently launched in the US commercial market in June 2018.

Furthermore, in October 2018 the FDA accepted our sNDA for treatment of thrombocytopenia in adult patients with chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) who have had an insufficient response to a previous treatment, with a PDUFA goal date of June 30, 2019. We are also conducting a Phase 3 trial in chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia (CIT). We expect to report results for the primary and select secondary endpoints from this trial in the first half of 2020.

The Opportunity:

Dova is currently recruiting a Sr. Territory Business Manager for our Los Angeles S and/or San Diego territory to join our team, reporting to the Regional Sales Director. In this role, you will develop and execute a territory strategy that works collaboratively across a matrix organization to appropriately address customer needs and ensure that we deliver on our sales targets. As a Sr. Territory Business Manager, you will develop deep customer insights, build and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians (Hepatologists, Gastroenterologists, Hematologists), pharmacists, nurses, office staff and other health care providers in the patient care continuum.

To be successful in this role, you will possess an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit while working strategically and operationally in equal measure.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for representing Dova's products and services to a customer base, generating and growing sales and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets within a specific geographic area in a professional, compliant, ethical and effective manner.

  • Application of effective selling techniques to create and expand product understanding and appropriate patient identification.

  • Strong knowledge of disease states and therapeutic products.

  • Demonstrate high degree of business acumen

  • Develop an understanding of the issues and opportunities unique to each geography.

  • Support KOL advocacy and execute company-sponsored speaker program plan.

  • Ability to develop and foster strong relationships

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 5-7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.

  • Proven success in a specialty product sales role and rare/orphan disease and/or specialty experience for minimum of 3 years preferred.

  • Hematology/Hepatology experience strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in all respects of selling, i.e. technical knowledge, selling techniques, interpreting/analyzing data, and an in-depth understanding of medical field and pharmaceutical industry.

  • Previous product launch experience in a highly competitive environment.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills, and influencing and negotiating skills.

  • Strict compliance, both in own behavior and behavior of sales team, with Dova's commercial compliance policy, and all applicable federal and state laws and guidance relating to product promotion and information dissemination.

Job Summary Job Description: Responsibilities: * Manage the overall customer relationship with multiple regional IDNs that are part of a large healthcare member of Foodbuy * Develop and maintain strong relationships within the accounts through regular meetings and interactions * Understand customer strategy, key goals, and objectives to develop effective account plans, activities, and joint goals * Create and maintain strategic account plans to align strategy and objectives to specific Foodbuy products and services * Work with customer to identify savings opportunities and drive contract compliance utilizing opportunity analytics * Facilitate the process of evaluation and implementation of contracted products utilizing culinary, manufacturer, distribution, and broker resources * Implement and onboard new customer locations to the Foodbuy program * Coordinate the utilization of Foodbuy resources to drive customer value and satisfaction * Conduct regular customer business reviews to ensure alignment, document value, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction * Troubleshoot, triage, and escalate customer issues and follow through on resolution to ensure customer expectations are met * Provide training and support to customers utilizing Foodbuy technology and reporting platforms Qualifications: * A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required * Minimum of 5+ years managing large regional and/or national accounts in the Healthcare, Food Service and/or GPO Industry * Strong understanding of healthcare food service procurement (preferably acute care hospitals) * Ability to build effective long-term interpersonal relationships proactively across functions both within Foodbuy and external parties, working with others towards mutually acceptable solutions. * Excellent customer/client relationship skills, both internally and externally * Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications is required * Ability to travel extensively, 50%+ primarily to Charlotte and client locations * A strong understanding of the financial, commercial, technological and social aspects of Foodbuy's business and value chain and how it relates to the competitive environment. * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written * Proven ability toengage others and handle interactions with individuals or groups to obtain commitment, compromise or settlement in a way that promotes win-win solutions and mutual goals or interests.
