As Senior Partner Account Manager for Technology Alliances you will be part of a global channel organization focused on vetting, evaluating, and developing Equinix's evolving technology partnerships in collaboration with our Business Development Organization. Designing an effective GTM strategy, including orchestration across direct sales, partner sales, and adjacent alliances such as with CSPs will be key to success in this role. Responsibilities include providing leadership and direction to regional partner development managers in all aspects of their responsibilities for executing on new partnerships, coordination of cross functional teams (BD, sales, marketing, technical, operations, legal) needed to support alliance development, and collaboration on performance objectives and measurement.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Partnerships and Alliances, this role requires a strong balance of business development skills, program design, program oversight, cross-region coordination, financial/ROI analysis, leadership skills and results measurement. Expertise as to digital ecosystems, IT transformation, hybrid/multi cloud, shifting consumption models (re networking, cloud, data, security) are key areas of required knowledge.
Execute on Technology Alliances' objectives set by global BD and channel management
Adhere to and support various program guidelines, rules, and measures
Assist in the development of required support materials for the program
Measure and report on success of assigned Alliances
Help develop, maintain, and strengthen business relationships with Alliance Partners
Translate Equinix Platform and Cloud Exchange Fabric capabilities into high value joint solutions for target Alliance types in order to repeat and scale the go-to-market engine. Help clearly articulate the key drivers and value points for Alliance decision makers that lead to greater investment in the Equinix relationship.
Requires a minimum of 7+ years of a mix of experience in channel and business development, sales, marketing, technology, and team leadership.
5+ years channel program management and leadership experience with accountability for performance targets
Multi-lingual skills desirable
Expertise as to IT infrastructure and Cloud environments required.
Ability to design and present business plans, track and articulate program progress, design and document program GTM strategy for distribution throughout the organization (all levels) and for external use.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate technology features into business benefits/outcomes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment.
Organizational and priority-setting skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
Bring energy and passion to the role
Skilled in MS Office products and Salesforce.com strongly preferred
At least a Bachelor's degree
Ability to travel 50% of the time
