Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Senior Technician, RF Test is to assist in maintaining a highly efficient, productive, safe, engineering lab environment. The Senior Technician will provide support in maintaining lab inventory, ordering lab supplies; ensuring equipment is functioning properly and is calibrated. In addition, the candidate will assist in the construction of custom test systems, and bench setups

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Ensure laboratory readiness in support of all product development activities.

  • Manage test equipment calibration and repair services and schedules.

  • Performing setup, calibration, verification, and maintenance of automated test stations.

  • Manage inventory and acquisition of laboratory supplies.

  • Assist in construction and testing of custom test systems.

  • Measurement data collection and reporting for products in development

  • Helping to create a highly efficient and productive lab environment

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in an RF product development laboratory environment Demonstrated RF test and measurement skills

  • Experience working with test and diagnostic equipment including, but not limited to, oscilloscopes, DMMs, vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and signal generators

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting at the system, PCB, and component levels

  • Enjoy hands-on work and exhibit a high mechanical aptitude and ability to solder

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to read and understand schematics

  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with MS office suite.

  • Semiconductor Industry Experience

  • Software/Programing experience: C/C++/C#, MatLab and NI LabView

  • RF Characterization Experience

Education Requirements

  • ASEE or ASEET or equivalent required.

Work Environment

This job operates in a lab environment. This role routinely uses standard office and equipment.
