Multi-Functional Simulations Analyst performing a variety of operational, analytical, planning, and related tasks with duties concentrated in the areas of constructive and virtual training simulations support for combat, combat support, and combat service support training. Responsible for planning, development, and execution of simulation training activities to include scheduling, development of databases, exercise scenarios, workstation player/controller training, exercise execution, and participation in After Action Reviews.
Responsible for the accurate portrayal of BLUFOR and OPFOR organizational and operational activities during all simulation exercises. Reviews and updates database requirements for accuracy, and compliance with applicable doctrine. Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision and to perform shift work required. Current emphasis on administration, management, and training of Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulations (JCATS) training.
Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
Installs and configures network hardware and software.
Provides network troubleshooting and support.
Provides technical support and training to end-users.
Administers network security.
Backs up file server data/disks.
Provides complex server maintenance.
Sets up new users and deletes old users from the network.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Must be able to work with other members of the team and willing to cross train on like systems.
Occasional travel may be required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
GDIT Requires: Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. CompTIA, Security + required, or able to be obtain within first 6 months of employment.
Contract Requires: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics
GDIT Requires: 3-5 years of directly related experience supporting network operations.
Contract Requires: 6 years directly related experience.
