ResponsibilitiesJob Duties: Utilize standard technology such as telephone, email, and web browser to complete work tasks Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and daily task assignments Performs a variety of complicated as well as routine tasks Work in a small collaborative team environment, typically reports to a project leader or manager Work after hours and at other NOAA facilities may be required periodically Ability to use reference materials from various sources such as network based electronic files and printed manuals Record daily activities, transactions by documenting details of inquiries, incidents, comments and action taken


Education and Experience

Requirements:
Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university required (at least four (4) years of equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree) At least two (2) years of relevant experience required Knowledge and the ability to monitor logs and scheduled events, report on problems/anomalies Experience with and/or ability to use call center telephony equipment Experience in Customer Support or Call center support required IT Helpdesk support experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Government experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to follow processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure repeatable customer experiences Must be highly detail-oriented Possesses the ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines as needed. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time Ability to work well independently and in a team setting Adaptability, flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity and change Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills Excellent attention to detail and good analytical skills Responsible for receiving and tracking the trouble tickets, assigns them to a technical specialist

  • High School Diploma with 4+ years of experience, or Associate's degree with 2+ years of experience.

  • May have additional training or education in area of specialization.

  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving issues.

  • Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.

  • Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.

  • Able to research and resolve most non-routine issues independently.

  • Communicates on complex or sensitive issues or drafts such responses for supervisor or team lead.

The successful candidate will possess exemplary results-oriented interpersonal and customer relations expertise as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills in a high-paced, dynamic environment with contractor, subcontractor, and government entities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide direct support and take responsibility for administration and assistance to the Delegated Authorizing Official (DAO) and DAO staff representatives. Initiate outreach with colleagues when appropriate, and coordinate with Security Control Assessor (SCA), SCA Representatives, Information Systems Security Managers (ISSM), Information Assurance Managers (IAM), Information Assurance Officers (IAO), Program Offices, and Security Engineers. Provide support for matters pertaining to: SCI systems A&A, demonstrate be knowledge of IC SCI systems A&A policies/guidance. Draft documents and perform other support as required. Ensures compliance to FISMA, ICD-503, DCID 6/3, DJSIG, and ICS 500-18 along with additional community guidance. Coordinate and support the security components of the DoDIIS certification process for all products undergoing DoDIIS certification. Conduct research to ensure existing and evolving products/services meet current Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), DIA, DoD, DISA, DITSCAP, and local authorities security requirements as appropriate. Prepare Security documentation in support of project tasks and as tasked for approved project requirements, which support successful completion of Collateral and/or SCI-level security testing and evaluation (ST&E) appropriate for the product. Document and report security results and findings. Utilize prior experience and knowledge of SCI system assessment support via databases e.g. Xacta; Authorization to Operate (ATO) package development, review, and processing and reviewing Naval message traffic External Referral Eligible ONIMAC1 Minimum Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance Active Security +CE certification is required. BA/BS in IT, IA or related field and 8+ yrs of A&A experience with ICD-503, and/or NIST Framework OR MS and 6+ yrs of A&A experience with ICD-503, and/or NIST framework 2+ years of experience and knowledge of SCI system assessment support via databases e.g. Xacta; Authorization to Operate (ATO) package development, review, and processing and reviewing Naval message traffic Prior work experience with the DoD, DISA, NNWC and IC tools, systems, and reporting mechanisms and requirements for A&A Extensive experience and education in information assurance, e.g., accreditation, security testing and evaluation.
