Johnson & Johnson's Cardiovascular & Specialty Solutions (CSS) Group within Medical Devices is recruiting for a Sr. Technical Service Technician, for Advanced Sterilization Products located in the Irvine, CA area. The CSS Group serves a diverse base of customers in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Infection Prevention, Electrophysiology (EP), Surgical and Non-Surgical Aesthetics, Sedation and Reprocessing.

Johnson & Johnson announced that it has received a binding offer from Fortive Corporation to acquire Advanced Sterilization Products(ASP). If the offer is accepted, the proposed transaction would be expected to close no later than early 2019, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Should you receive and accept an offer for this position, upon completion of the transaction, your employment with ASP will transfer to Fortive according to local law and will be governed by Fortive's employment processes, programs, policies and benefits plans.

Under minimal supervision the Senior Technical Service Technician will provide planned and corrective maintenance service on ASP equipment, both in-house and at remote sites.


  • The Senior Technician is responsible for maintaining history records of work performed in service tracking software.

  • Assist US Field Service by providing on-site planned and corrective maintenance on ASP equipment as backup to FSEs.

  • Maintains inventory level of parts and kits needed to support repair activities on ASP equipment in Irvine location.

  • Maintain technical service training systems used in training FSEs and Biomed engineers.

  • Perform rework on subassemblies.

  • Rework documented in service tracking software.

  • Assist Technical Service Engineers to document service activities associated with new product development.

  • Provide telephone and e-mail technical support to J&J and customer technical personnel throughout the product market.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the manager of this role.


  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years technical service experience on electromechanical capital; medical equipment preferred.

  • Willing to travel up to 30%

Job Summary: The Reel Technician I is responsible for playing a vital role in creating and maintaining loyal customers. Under direction of the immediate supervisor, must meet or exceed quotas.
