The Sr. Technical Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, launch, and support of technology platforms. This position will plan the project life-cycle deliverables and resources; working closely with engineering, UI/UX designers and business partners to understand requirements, evaluate technical solutions to meet those requirements, ensure launches are delivered with the committed features and provide ongoing support. In addition to their own programs, this role provides subject matter expertise to peers and provides lead support in the integration of other technical projects and platforms across the departments.

  • Drive planning and road map alignment with key partners

  • Establish processes, tools, and metrics for software product development

  • Manage cross-functional software engineering programs in a matrix organization covering a range of areas

  • Use Agile methodologies to drive programs and projects

  • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases

  • Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, cost estimates, timelines, functional specifications, statements of work, change orders, testing/QA plans, and training documents

  • Perform risk management and change management on projects

  • Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions

  • Take the lead in driving new feature development through every stage of the software product life cycle

  • Manage product backlog and create user stories through leading multi-discipline collaboration sessions

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Technical Project & Product Managers and team members

Must-Have Super Hero Gadgetry

  • Bachelor degree or higher in business, computer science or relevant field of study OR equivalent related experience

  • 8+ years of experience as a technical product manager, with a record of successful delivery of complex software systems or building and launching consumer products

  • Self-starter, accustomed to working in a changing environment and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Innate desire to bring definition and organization to any situation

  • Significant experience leading agile development; JIRA proficiency a plus

  • Passion for optimizing the end user experience

  • Technical understanding and experience working with enterprise systems

  • Demonstrated problem-solving/analytical skills. Structured approach to IT solutions development (measuring, monitoring, and testing) and a deep understanding of operational management

  • Demonstrated success at managing large, cross-functional projects and delivering world-class end user experiences to consumers or small businesses

  • Highly collaborative, results driven individual who can balance daily tactical activities with longer-term strategic execution without formal authority

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, active listener with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to a diverse audience

This role requires working closely with internal stakeholders to define vision, strategy and requirements, define a roadmap, timelines and success metrics.
