The Role

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager on the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of cross-functional technical and operational projects and procedures. You will work closely with Logistics, Service, IT, Procurement, and Service to provide process and technology solutions that will enable Tesla to scale.


  • "Concept to completion" ownership of projects

  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders (project managers, service teams, supply chain, communications team etc.) through the various stages of the project: Concept development, testing, execution.

  • Drive vendor partnership working closely with supply chain and purchasing team and ensure alignment on program requirements, scope, schedule and cost.

  • Drive requirements and solutions with all internal stakeholders for the success of the project.

  • Own and drive internal operations during the ramp up, equipment procurement, vehicle building, training, recruiting phases of the projects.

  • Set goals, track deliverables, identify risk and drive mitigations across all stages of the project.

  • Own execution and completion of multiple projects, as needed.

  • Identify resource requirements and highlight gaps across various stages for all projects.

  • Own report-outs for all projects, highlighting status, risks, mitigations and opportunities across all levels of management within Tesla.

  • Manage roadmap of program and working within the framework of the overall program.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant working experience
  • 4+ years' experience in technical project management, ideally with multiple delivered projects of medium (25M+) to large sized capital programs.

VIEW JOBS 12/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-07T00:00 This is a unique opportunity within the Infrastructure Business Operations (IBOS) team to support Facebook's Infrastructure Asset Management function that is the primary point of accountability for the lifecycle management of all Infrastructure hardware that support various operations. This infrastructure includes data centers, points-of-presence (POPs), integrators, warehouses, third-party vendors, and other discrete locations at which Facebook material must be received, accounted for, placed into operation, and eventually removed. You will be responsible for developing logistics process workflows and required process documentation for tracking hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, from purchasing through disposals. You will manage one or more infrastructure logistics processes or programs that ensure full accountability of all Infrastructure equipment. IBOS is a service organization, mainly supporting internal customers operating the Facebook infrastructure footprint, but with emerging customers outside that footprint as well. We work collaboratively with partners up and down the Facebook supply chain system and cross-functionally with Infrastructure partners as well. For each customer, we seek to support the careful management of material life cycles, from demand inception through reception, storage, distribution, operation, RMA, decommissioning and disposal. We do this to produce both consistent operational reliability and stellar financial accounting. BUSINESS OPERATIONS PROGRAM MANAGER - IBOS RESPONSIBILITIES * Formulate, implement and sustain processes for tracking and managing Infrastructure hardware from purchase requisition through retirement Develop and sustain one or more logistics programs to ensure full accountability of all infrastructure equipment Focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvements to sustain accurate infrastructure equipment (asset) data quality Evaluate, design and implement technology and processes that achieves highest degree of asset (asset) data accuracy Responsible for stakeholder engagement, assessment of ongoing business needs and building short term and long term program roadmap to support equipment tracking and data quality requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in process design and implementation in one or more areas of supply chain including Inventory management, capital asset management, warehousing and distribution, logistics operations, logistics/supply chain sourcing, Material Management and planning and related systems and tools that support them 5+ years of experience collaborating with geographically distributed cross-functional teams to implement processes in a global environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience with procure-to-pay systems, hardware asset management, data center logistics operations, compliance and SOX controls Facebook's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.
