In this Sr. Technical Program Manager, Database role you will partner closely with our Engineering teams and leadership to manage an enterprise grade distributed relational data store that's highly available, scalable, performant and consistent. The Technical Program Management team partners with Product and Engineering leaders to scope and execute sophisticated technical programs. From handling resource planning activities to communicating vertically and horizontally across the company, the team needs you to drive execution and keep partners informed.

We need you to own a domain area and keep an eye out for process improvements to enhance execution and efficiency of the teams involved. Our team is very big in supporting one another and loves to learn and share new findings. We all have a super power and are looking forward to using yours!

This role will provide you all the fundamentals, relationships and impact necessary to elevate your career either through the individual contributor or managerial path.

Who you are

You are an experienced Technical Program Manager, with at least 7 years of experience in the Program Management space, preferably with large scale databases. We hope that you'll bring your unique skill sets and passions to add to the colorful dynamic of the team, while also bringing an analytical perspective to problem-solving and a love for negotiating cross-functionally and at an executive level.

You will also ideally have strong technical aptitude and experience in software/system design and development methodologies (including Agile). Things change quite frequently here at Box, so an intrinsic ability to deal with ambiguity and having a flexible and adaptive mindset will be key. A passion for all things cloud is, of course, also a big advantage!
