Technical Product Owners will lead the efforts focused on developing next generation IoT and Big Data platform capabilities. You will develop and communicate a vision for bleeding edge technologies that solve customer problems, work backwards from customer needs to define and execute on product roadmaps, communicate clearly and with data, and prioritize effectively.

You will partner with teams across Honeywell Connected Enterprise and engage deeply with the senior leadership, customer and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, execution and team charter to drive adoption and competitive edge

  • Set and own the goals. Define metrics and key performance indicators

  • Build and own scalable partnership programs for third-party vendors

  • Partner, build relationships and deliver results in cross-group environment to define and drive go-to-market activities

  • Identify innovative opportunities for and define and own a roadmap for other services to be built.

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or engineering
  • 3+ years in gathering customer requirements
  • 3+ years delivering technical requirements


  • People who are passionate about technology

  • Big Data experience

  • Experience and/or knowledge in IoT

  • Experience in software development and/or engineering background

  • Quickly identifies patterns among problems & issues

  • Makes timely decisions balancing systematic analysis

  • Some experience in product or strategic marketing

  • Decisive and logical at thoroughly evaluating issue

  • Excellent planning, execution and project-management skill

  • Experience & ability to apply to product line

  • Demonstrate ability to develop product strategy, roadmaps and track record of delivering

results for customers

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience with requirement management, owning, developing, grooming and prioritizing

product backlogs

  • An intense curiosity about all things technology that includes IoT, Data Science, UX and strong

problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Experience with Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures

  • Experience building internal and external (third-party) partnerships

You will be responsible for software components providing system management, securing devices and making deployments easy and cost effective. You will interact with other teams and partners and guide them in their integration efforts. You will be working closely with developers and software architects, to design, develop, validate and manage the day to day delivery for both client and server-sided components. You will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle for your product line - including but not limited to gathering requirements, crafting technical and functional specifications, coordinating development efforts through to implementation and subsequent support. You will work with partners, customers and other internal teams and use their inputs to create product requirement documents, write and review technical specifications, work with finance and leadership on business justifications and train the sales and support prior to shipping the product. In this role you will work closely with VMware OEM partners. You will align our approach to partner needs, create pricing, packaging and positioning that will ensure success of VMWare's products in their portfolio and maximize the revenue for both companies. You should be comfortable in Jira, writing and managing stories, writing technical specs with enough details for developers to create the product as well as inside Excel spreadsheet creating a business case or Power Point to deliver crisp message.
