We're now on the lookout for an experienced Product Manager to join our team.

Our Product team creates and shapes the experiences that serve hundreds of millions of users. As SoundClouders, we care about the safety of our users just as much as the security of our systems. We're looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead trust and safety product initiatives in Berlin, who can leverage strong tactical decision-making skills in combination with data to establish objectives, and drive our products forward.

The responsibility for the systems and product features that improve user safety on the platform are shared between several teams including Anti-Abuse, Security, User Auth and product teams. Key stakeholders like our Trust and Safety and Anti Abuse team are crucial contributors to the health and success of our platform.

You bring product management experience, ideally from a security, trust and safety, anti-spam/anti-abuse, user safety, or similar background. You love complex problems, and your decisions are based on a healthy mix of analytics, technical understanding, and identifying user needs. You love to support others and are passionate about adversarial thinking, fighting abuse, and making the world a safer place. In turn, you will have the rare opportunity to gain experience in serving 175 million active users on our platform, and keeping them and their data safe.

You are:

  • Particularly interested in and driven to solve complex intellectual challenges around online content vetting and user trust on UGC platforms

  • Extremely disciplined and data driven with an eye towards proactively identifying centers of risk and opportunity

  • Motivated to solve problems in creative ways with limited resources

  • Deeply care about user privacy, data compliance, and are up to speed with global trends and requirements

  • Have an interest in building healthy online communities which balance free speech and mitigate maintent

Responsibilities

  • Gather and synthesize complex requirements from cross functional stakeholders

  • Prepare and align interdependent roadmaps across multiple themes

  • Identify and quantify risks and costs for all initiatives and to adeptly prioritize competing high priority workstreams

  • Prepare and present work ranging from user-facing feature development to technical architecture solutions in a clear way for various tech and non-tech audiences

  • Groom, plan, estimate, and manage active sprints across multiple teams in tandem

  • Champion T&S/AA topics and drive culture within the organization to support your group's initiatives

  • Proactively review user data trends, identify patterns, and work with our teams to ensure all necessary event tracking is in place to solve for T&S/AA themes

  • Collaborate with engineers to build systems and train algorithms to mitigate fake activity

  • Enthusiasm for and creative approach towards user security and friction without sacrificing acquisition, activation, and growth

  • Wear many hats including project & engineering management, and data analysis.

  • Collaborate with listener and creator feature teams to embed T&S/AA initiatives within all user facing features

  • Set and track technical, internal, and user-centric KPIs, and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to improve these company wide

  • Drive user research initiatives in order to track qualitative and quantitative user feedback against your KPIs

Experience

  • 5+ years in a product role with a strong technical background

  • Deep domain expertise with user authentication paradigms and best practices

  • Working on platforms with millions of users and widely distributed scale

  • Understanding of security flaws, best practices, risks, and mitigation strategies

  • Experience with and understanding of complex user generated content ecosystems

  • You have implemented and maintained GDPR / compliance features

  • Comprehensive understanding of App Store and Google Play store requirements

  • Demonstrated track record of building excellent UX without sacrificing security and platform resilience

  • Growth & behavioral data tools including but not limited to Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA, Firebase

  • Marketing tech downstream tools including but not limited to Braze, SMTP such as Sendgrid, Google tag manager, Branch

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Sr. Product Manager for Platform at Contentful, you will be driving the development of an enterprise-ready, highly scalable, reliable, and compliant content platform that powers the next generation of digital experiences. In close collaboration with the Group Product Manager and the VP of Product, you will shape strategic thinking in the area of platform infrastructure by managing the roadmap. In this position, you will work across infrastructure technology teams pairing with the Engineering Managers.
