Responsibilities

Fandango is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Technical Product Manager to join our Fandango Commerce team. Our Commerce team manages the checkout experience across multiple platforms for Fandango's suite of e-commerce sites. As Sr. Technical Product Manager, you will define and deliver innovative systems and services, collaborate with various stakeholders, both business and technical, and define product requirements to build and maintain a best in class commerce experience for the Fandango audience. Responsibilities:

  • Define epics and user stories for multiple commerce systems and services, prioritizing backlog according to documented product strategy and business goals

  • Write detailed and thorough technical requirements for developers and QA to build world class services

  • Clearly articulate point of view on complex technical topics related to platform and technology in area of product responsibility. Align both technical and non-technical stakeholders on this common vision.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Engineering, PMO, Quality Assurance, Business Intelligence, Finance/Accounting, Exhibitor Relations, Customer Service, Fraud, Ad Sales, Business Development and Product leads to unite towards a common goal

  • Guide projects through launch and post-launch with hyper-care

  • Identify customer needs, tech trends and market opportunities and deliver actionable solutions

  • Define KPIs and analyze metrics to inform the success of products

  • Provide product support on issues and incidents escalated into our delivery teams

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of Product experience, preferably in a technical product role

Professional experience as a software engineer working in a back-end or full-stack capacity is a strong plus

A strong understanding and passion for systems and services in digital commerce

Desired Characteristics

Ability to conceptualize products, manage and optimize them throughout their lifecycle

An understanding of current software design patterns and principles

Strong working knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and service dependency management

Familiar with software build, release, deployment and monitoring tools and practices

Familiarity with test driven and behavioral driven development practices

Familiar with distributed systems design and architecture

Familiar with stream processing and event driven architectures

General familiarity with common networking, infrastructure, and security fundamentals

  • Experience with payment processing, credit cards and alternative payment methods such as Apple Pay, PayPal, Google Pay and more

Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership

The ability to work well in a team environment and maintain a positive and professional tone across departments, SCRUM and JIRA experience a plus

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to evolve the product based on research data and industry trends

Willingness to take ownership and drive initiatives to completion
