The Novartis Cell & Gene Technical Development and Manufacturing team is seeking a Sr. Technical Manager in East Hanover, NJ.

What you'll be doing

The Sr. Training Manager, Technical Training and Learning is responsible for identifying, building, and executing development solutions that enhance engagement, improve knowledge and skills.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify, recommend and implement new, creative and innovative learning & development offerings, techniques and ap-plications for relevant stakeholders.

  • Strategically analyze, plan, develop, and implement initiatives, training programs and systems that will increase internal customer engagement and access as well as stakeholder skills, knowledge, and practices.

  • Partner with subject matter experts in different functional areas internally and exter-nally to identify training needs, assess skill gaps, and ultimately design and facili-tate appropriate and meaningful training programs. Establish metrics and measurements to evaluate the success of training and devel-opment programs.

  • Support, maintain, and encourage an engaged, empowered, and learning culture for trainees and for direct reports.

  • Support and co-define the overall Training Strategy for the Cell & Gene Therapy training programs.

  • Provide back-up coverage for trainer vacations and illnesses.

  • Oversee projects from start to finish.

  • Determine and identify appropriate number of trainers to effectively support project and day-to-day requirements.

  • Act as an effective change agent in the organization. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Manage the delivery and maintain the global Train-the-Trainer program.

  • Manage and develop gowning and aseptic gowning training requirements.

  • Manage and oversee the technical training program for computerized systems (SAP, LIMS, MET One), QC Reviewer, NC 200, and Pipette training.

  • Manage the development, delivery, documentation and continuous improvement of new employee on-boarding and orientation.

  • Work with leaders and training team to problem solves obstacles and provide oppor-tunities to meet training and compliance metrics.

  • Maintain, evaluate, and secure training records.

  • Ensure compliance with governing procedures.

  • Identify new or remain current with emerging training requirements for gowning, aseptic requirements, NEO programs, and gain expertise in these areas.

  • Other assignments as needed.

REGULATORY SUPPORT

  • Present and respond to inquiries regarding training programs, etc. during the course of regulatory audits.

  • Manage, coordinate, develop, and resolve compliance activities related to training deviations, CAPAs, self-inspections, audits, and GOPs.

Desirable requirements:

  • Meeting deadlines for all deviation, CAPA, GOP, self-inspection, and audit assign-ments.

  • Maintain Costs and budget.

  • Trainee Satisfaction (NEO, gowning, computer system and technical trainings).

  • Continuous development of themselves as a manager and leader.

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred or 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with increasing responsibility.

  • 5+ years of related pharmaceutical experience preferably in a production, QA, and/ or QC related training role preferred.

  • Training certifications in the areas of Adult Learning, Measurement and Evaluation, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Train-the-Trainer are highly desirable.

  • Direct experience working in a GMP environment and strong Training Program management skills required.

The Senior Product Manager role will be supporting the customer marketing team to ensure insight driven consumer communication that is aligned with brand strategy and objectives Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: * The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for his/her resources to achieve brand objectives, and clearly communicates standards of performance. This will be achieved through clear example of culture and values, council, balanced brand workload and appropriate delegation; * Supports and directs the development and implementation of the brand's marketing plans and budget and long term financial plans to achieve the brand's volume, profit and spending objectives; * Effectively plans to ensure that top line sales goals and bottom line profit goals are met, by overseeing the execution of brand strategies through various functional departments, and external vendors, and by recognizing the profitability and revenue impact of all business opportunities; * Supports and manages resource allocations across the brand to optimize overall brand performance, while anticipating risks to brand performance and ensuring that contingency plans are developed to manage through them; * Manages and lead multiple external partners and consultants to produce consumer/patient communication strategies and executions in line with the brand strategy; * Partners to manage and lead multiple cross functional teams to execute brand initiatives and implement plans. * The Senior Product Manager will also need to ensure the brand strategy is communicated, understood and implemented by all cross-functional groups; * Supports the Integrated Business Plans that not only deliver on annual and longer term financial objectives, but also protect brand equity and enhance brand health. What you'll bring to the role: * Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech and or healthcare required * 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare operational marketing experience or equivalent * Diverse experience outside of marketing (e.g. Customer-facing/sales experience, managed markets, operations, medical, etc.) * Bachelor's Degree is required, (MBA a plus) * Experience in healthcare (pharma, biotech) or consumer packaged goods (CPG) * Must have 3+ years of experience in a marketing or related * Proven success with understanding, mining and applying consumer insights, project management, leading cross functional teams, navigating financials and demonstrating results * Financial and Operational Acumen: Excellent financial and project management skills to critically and objectively assess programs and investments versus results. * Ability to streamline operational processes and drive efficiency through the use of technology * Must be curious with an openness to new thinking balanced with realistic business needs * Marketing Brand Building: Excellent communication skills and ability to influence an environment that encourages innovation and risk taking. Ability to engage in positive/productive debate with the leaders of key internal constituent groups.
