Job Description:

Be prepared to work in and enjoy a fast paced, team oriented environment where working under pressure and meeting deadlines will be a requirement. Primary responsibilities will be to review vendor invoices greater than $25k for accuracy of sales tax being charged or accruing tax on purchases, international invoice tax review, review tax returns for accuracy, ability to answer questions from the team, perform testing functions and participate in/lead special projects around the sales and use tax function. Will be a critical member of the team and cross training with other team members will be a must.

Responsible for more complex tax planning, forecasting and compliance responsibilities Activities may include complying with tax reporting requirements of various government jurisdictions in a manner that minimizes tax liabilities or researching tax issues and developing effective tax minimization strategies. Supports achievement of business goals by working on more complex activities or projects with others within the unit and with partners. Leads projects and coordinates resources. May provide supervision to a small staff. Can manage partner relationships.

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years related tax experience with Sales and Use tax preferred

  • Ability to work independently/good judgment

  • Attention to detail/Analytical Research Skills

  • Advanced Excel

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience required

Desired Skills:

  • Good communication skills and process improvement skills

  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to absorb info from several sources to come to logical decisions

  • Project leadership skills

  • Bachelors' degree in Accounting or related field preferred
