At a Glance
Legrand North America is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to become an integral part of the North American Tax Team. The successful candidate will possess strong overall tax technical skills and expertise with an established background in all aspects of U.S. tax compliance including international, federal and state as well as experience in tax planning and transfer pricing. This position will be located in our West Hartford, CT office. The Senior Tax Manager is a new and critical role within the Tax Department. The role will have significant interaction with other members of the Tax team, Corporate Controllers, the finance organization and business operations. Accordingly, the ability to work with both internal and external business partners is a key skill.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and support international tax compliance of US tax return, including E&P, Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, FTC limitation, etc.
Review federal and state US income tax returns
Manage and support international aspects of the U.S. tax provision
Review and assist with foreign subsidiary tax provision packages including monitoring both current and deferred provision calculations
Manage and maintain inventory of foreign tax filings including tax returns, Local Files and financial statements
Assist with maintaining transfer pricing policies and calculations, including the review and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation, and other TP reporting processes.
Support and develop tax team in federal, state and international taxation
Perform other similar and related duties as required with minimal supervision
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Balanced experience with transfer pricing, tax planning, compliance and reporting
Balanced experience with tax return compliance including U.S. international and federal with some state experience preferred
Private industry experience, with Big 4 background a plus
Experience with Thomson Reuters OIT and/or OTP a plus
SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES:
Strong skills and experience with transfer pricing and U.S. federal and international tax planning
Strong technical understanding of US tax reform international tax issues, including related compliance
Must be detail oriented, organized thinker with strong accounting, analytical and follow up skills
Must be Team oriented, self-motivated, willing to take ownership of projects and to roll up your sleeves and get involved in details when needed
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel, across functions, companies and with external contacts
