Assists in tax planning, tax accounting, tax return compliance, and tax audit support. Ensures compliance with tax laws and minimizes the tax burden of the company.

Essential Functions:

Assists in the preparation, review, and filing of federal/state/international tax returns, including identifying transactions that have tax ramifications.

Researches complex tax issues, and interprets and applies tax law, regulations, and cases to specific transactions and factual situations.

Assists in the preparation of the tax provision and analysis of tax accounts. Calculates and/or reviews estimated payments and extension filings as directed by the Director Global Tax Management.

Assists with responding to IRS/State audit information requests and routine tax notices.

Provides support in managing the global transfer pricing policies of the company.

Assists the Director, Global Tax Management in the development and maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley controls

B.A./B.S. in Accounting/Finance or equivalent education and experience, plus moderate experience with public accounting or corporate tax. CPA and/or MST preferred.

Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting for income tax (ASC 740) required. Experience with SEC financial reporting for income tax preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail is required.

Proficiency with accounting software packages, such as Oracle Finance is preferred. Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and work independently in a fast paced environment is essential. Strong financial knowledge and effective written and oral communication skills are essential.

VIEW JOBS 3/27/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-25T00:00 Job summary: The Senior Oracle Functional Analyst will be a key member of the enterprise applications team, providing daily support for Oracle production system, enhancement projects and strategic initiatives, with primary focus on Financials and Record-to-Report (R2R) modules. The individual will partner with business and technical teams to implement new functionality to ensure the technology is leveraged to the fullest. Responsibilities * Participate in the design, build and implementation of solutions to solve business requirements for small to large initiatives in Oracle Financial and reporting modules * Act as the liaison between business and technology teams to review business processes, understand requirements, perform fit/gap analysis, evaluate options and make recommendations. * Implement new functionality, enhance system capabilities, and improvise existing solutions. * Modify existing or develop new RICEW solutions across various Financial modules * Review, improve and support period close activities. Provide support in account reconciliation and month-end reporting activities * Resolve production tickets - Provide user assistance, resolve defects, perform configurations and develop new solutions * Act as a project manager/coordinator for small to mid-size initiatives – Define project scope and objectives by gathering requirements, develop project plans, timelines and lead the successful execution. * Identify and drive process and system improvements to meet growing business needs. * Work with external partner(s) as needed. * Provide training and assistance to new and existing users. * Develop test plans and test scripts and perform functional testing to ensure high quality in deliverables. Qualifications and Skills * 9 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Applications as a functional consultant. * In-depth understanding of business flows and system capabilities in Financial and R2R modules * Strong functional expertise in Oracle EBS modules (General Ledger, Cash management, Fixed Assets, Payables, Receivables, AGIS and Subledger Accounting). * Experience in common modules such as Sys Admin, eBTax and AME. * Experience in global environments and in-depth understanding of intercompany, Multi-Org, Currency conversions and multiple SOB concepts. * Experience in performing consolidation activities, writing mass allocations setting up new ledgers. * Implementation of AME and Workflow experience strongly desired. * In-depth understanding of accounting treatment of transactions and interfacing to General Ledger * Experience in month-end processes, ledger reconciliation and summary reporting tools to develop internal and external reports is required * Proven experience in designing and supporting RICEW components. * Familiarity with Hyperion suite is an advantage. * Hands-On experience in writing SQL queries and good understanding of R12 table structures is required * Prior experience as a project manager or project coordinate is desired. * Experience in business process analysis, gap identification and system configuration to meet business needs. * Experience in preparing functional requirements, test case documents and planning and execution of UAT sessions. * Must possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with members various level * Work collaboratively in a team environment. * Ability to multi-task and efficiently prioritize tasks assigned. * Must be a self-starter, motivated and a forward thinker.
