In this role on the Talent Management (TM) team, you will have the opportunity to directly influence Polaris' Guiding Principle of "Best People, Best Team." You will be responsible for influencing and executing strategies to build Organizational Capability through enhancing the value streams of Organization Effectiveness & Change, Succession Management and Strategic Talent Development.


Organization Effectiveness
1.Manage the preparation and execution of the company-wide Organization & Talent Review (OTR), including project manage the template, supporting Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) in preparation, meeting management, data analysis, and ongoing tracking of execution
2.Lead preparation for the annual Organization & Talent Review presentation to the Board of Directors (BOD) in support of the company's CHRO
3.Define processes and tools that enable HRBPs to assess and facilitate organizational design, as well as operate as consultant for ongoing assessment of organizational effectiveness

Change Management
1.Create and maintain tools to engage and guide stakeholders through organizational change
2.Identify opportunities to drive a culture that embraces change and embeds change management into leader standard work
3.Deploy as an internal change consultant as part of the company's most strategic transformation projects

Succession Management
1.Define process and develop standard work and training materials for an ongoing succession management process that integrates with other talent management processes (i.e., performance management)
2.Enhance utilization of Workday to maintain succession plans and provide visibility to talent pipeline
3.Partner with HRIS and HRBPs to define and launch succession management metrics

Strategic Talent Development
1.Create and evolve strategic talent development programs to prepare key talent for senior leadership roles, such as Business President Development (BPD)
2.Improve process to create internal candidate slates to drive talent visibility & promote cross-business talent sharing
3.Develop and implement talent management analytics in partnership with HRIS and HRBPs

Talent Management Team Support
1.Support broader Talent Management team with critical initiatives, as needed
2.Partner with the Early Talent Cultivation team to hard-wire succession planning and development for the company's early career pipeline


  • 5+ years of experience gathering business requirements to create processes in Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources (HR) or business functions

  • Bachelors or higher level degree in HR, Finance, Business, related or technical fields strongly preferred

  • Previous experience working in talent or organization development preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to pivot and navigate ambiguous situations

  • Strong organizational planning and project management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Acute sense of urgency

  • Ability to influence without authority; experience influencing senior leaders preferred

  • Critical-thinking and analytical skills focused on proposing business solutions & driving process improvement

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) preferred

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of HR data and information

The Sr. Product Owner – Business Process Management works closely with many business stakeholders and IT partners to define the strategic vision for our business process management/workflow platform (currently Pegasystems), plan and prioritize enhancements and releases, and ensure releases maximize user experience and value. The Sr. Product owner will work closely with a Jr. Product Owner. Together, the two will manage from two to five Agile development teams that are working on a number of initiatives within the platform. The Sr. Product Owner will have budget accountability to ensure the investment in the platform is supporting business needs, within an allocated annual budget, and delivering the business value desired. Both Product Owners will work with the Project Deliver Office (PDO) to ensure work is reported as part of the overall portfolio and managed within budget. The Sr. Product Owner will assign Agile teams and work direction to the Jr. Product Owner. The Sr. Product owner is responsible for the success of the product by setting direction and maximizing output of the teams while ensuring the product meets the needs and user experience expectations of the numerous end users while ensuring risk/compliance and other product needs are also met. What will you do? * Work with Information Technology, Communications, Training, Change Management and Support Desks to support the overall release process ensuring all parties are aware of the contents of the release and how they will be impacted * Jr. Product Owner may be called upon to perform multiple roles, some of which include Business Analyst (write business requirements / user stories), User Acceptance Tester (execute test scripts), or Change Manager * Partner with the Portfolio or Project Manager in the Project Delivery Office (PDO) to ensure all projects are reported as part of the overall portfolio and managed within budget, as needed * Work with vendors to establish and maintain relationship from the business perspective; ensuring key stakeholders are informed of the vendor's roadmap and any relationship-impacting issues.
