SR Systems Engineer

3Ci is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to bolster the Operations team of our banking holding company Client during a pivotal year-long project. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will focus on maintaining stability and efficiency in the IT infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on storage solutions. By having strong expertise in storage systems, you will support ongoing operations while a key team member focuses on a long-term project.

The Senior Systems Engineer must demonstrate stability in previous roles and be adaptable team players. You will play a crucial role in advancing your technological capabilities. This position requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of storage solutions within complex IT environments.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in system engineering or administration

• 5 - 7+ years of experience in system engineering or related fields

• Expertise in Windows and Linux server operating systems

• Hands-on experience with current server, storage, virtualization, and networking technologies

General Requirements

• Proficiency in Azure AD, SAN storage, Unity, Certificate Management, VMware, ITAM, and Pure Storage

• Strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of network and server systems

• Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work effectively in a team environment

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Strong communication and organizational abilities

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Essential Functions

• 90 days - seamless integration into the team, with significant contributions to ongoing projects

• 180 days - lead critical initiatives and enhance storage infrastructure efficiency

• 1 year - establish as a key player in optimizing IT operations and strategic projects

• Design, configure, install, and maintain hardware and software systems

• Monitor system performance and security, troubleshooting issues as needed

• Develop and maintain system documentation

• Perform system upgrades and updates

• Implement and manage backup and recovery processes

• Develop and automate scripting processes

• Evaluate and integrate new technologies

• Participate in system and application design and implementation

• Perform other tasks as required
