Secret - Current Job Description: The Special Mission Aircraft product line, part of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems within Raytheon Space & Airborne Systems, seeks a Sr.
Systems Engineer II to act as the Requirements Manager for Special Mission Aircraft (SMA) pursuits and programs.
The position will reside in the Special Mission Aircraft section within the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) center.
The Requirements Managers primary function is to lead all aspects of the requirements development and management process for a large, complex airborne system.
This includes coordination and oversight of verification activities for system-level and lower-level requirements, complete tracking in DOORS, and ensuring all allocation and traceability is complete in DOORS and maps to the customer specifications.
The role will pertain to the entire deliverable airborne system solution, along with the supporting ground, ground mobile, and SIL components.
Job Related Activities: Develop, lead, and own all Requirements Management activities for the entire system of systems solution Requirements analysis, definition, functional decomposition, derivation, and allocation Conduct trade studies and interface with internal and external suppliers Support control measures (Configuration Management) to ensure that all artifacts and requirement changes are properly documented in accordance with the configuration management plan and communicated to all affected configuration items International & Domestic Travel (15%)
Minimum 6 years of requirements management experience working in the DOORS environment Deep understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycles and demonstrable application of relevant methodologies and toolsets; SME when it comes to writing good requirements Familiar with program execution per Raytheon IPDS (or equivalent) requirements Technical Background/
Background in ISR/MPA mission sensor suites including Radar, EO/IR, Data Link, COMINT, ELINT, Tactical Radios, Mission System Software integration, and integration of all systems onto an airborne platform Results oriented with proven ability to meet deadlines Active DoD Secret Clearance U.S.
Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems Technical experience with ISR software systems engineering Familiarity with configuration management Demonstrated knowledge and experience in IV&V strategies and planning Familiar with air vehicle requirements specs and aspects related to airworthiness, performance, and modification of green aircraft to meet ISR mission needs U.S.
Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S.
Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
