Responsibilities

Are you interested in Agile Development DevOps Cloud Technologies a collaborative work environment supporting our national defense? Opportunities span the full product development lifecycle, including new capability development as well as sustainment and enhancement of existing deployed systems.

Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) in State College, PA is seeking talented Systems Engineers to support classified programs that develop and enhance integrated sensor, signal processing, complex analytics, and big data systems for Intelligence Community customers.

The successful candidate is a self-starter, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, works effectively in a team environment, has a strong work ethic, and is flexible & adaptable to respond to customer mission needs. Consider joining our team!

This position requires eligibility to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance. A current, active TS/SCI is highly preferred. U.S. citizenship is required.

Validated TS/SCI clearances are eligible for sign-on bonus amounts up to $40,000.

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience

  • Familiarity with engineering processes and techniques

  • Ability to work effectively on multi-discipline engineering teams

  • Ability to generate technical documentation such as DoDAF artifacts, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), system test plans & procedures, etc.

  • Strong interpersonal, communications, organization, and planning skills

  • Commitment to quality customer service and on-schedule task completions

  • Ability to manage time and resources to meet deadlines

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Agile Development and DevOps

  • Familiarity with building Continuous Integration (CI) and Deployment environments

  • Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with service offerings from Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification

  • Ability to design high-availability applications on AWS across availability zones & regions.

  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging and cost management tools that integrate with AWS.

  • Passion for quality software, testability & test automation.

  • Experience with EC2, VPC, AQS, SNS, Route53, RDS, S3, Elastic Cache Cloud Formation, IAM, Cloud Watch, Puppet, Jenkins, Git

  • Experience with software development on Linux and/or Windows platforms

  • Experience conducting technical research, documenting and presenting results

  • Experience with system-level requirements analysis, system design, trade studies, and/or system integration & verification

  • Coursework and/or experience in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering and/or Security Engineering.

  • CompTIA Security+ certification

  • A current, active TS/SCI clearance

Education Requirements:

This position requires a 4-year bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
