The Raytheon Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has a professional Network Engineer opportunity available for the JPSS program. This position will perform network engineering tasks pertaining to detail design development, creating engineering design artifacts, hands on implementation and troubleshooting. Tasks include designing\implementing switch, firewall, and router configurations. Individual should possess knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and associated security practices.
Ability to obtain a CAC card and US Citizenship required.
4+ years of relevant experience directly related to network engineering design
In-depth understanding of network technologies and associated services, management, and security practices/techniques
Proven communicator with Leadership, Peers and Subordinates
Familiarity and ability to read, understand, and implement configurations fir the following:
Cisco Firepower firewall experience with Contexts, filters, SSL VPN
Cisco ISR Router experience with GRE and IP Sec tunnels as well as ACLs, OSPF, BGP, NATs, HSRP
Cisco ACS RADIUS, RSA two-factor authentication
Cisco LAN Core and Distribution switches, experience with ACL's, routing, hardening and spanning tree implementations
Cisco Nexus experience with VPC
Cognizant of network topologies as well as understand necessary configuration details
Familiar with TCP, and secure protocols
Familiar with traffic shaping and TCP acceleration technologies
Experience with Data Center LAN design, Implementation, diagnostics, performance and management
Knowledge/experience with SAN implementations (iSCSI, Fiber Channel)
Knowledge/experience with VMware implementations
Knowledge/experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Center for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmarks
Network Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA
Experience with Configuration Management
Required Education (including Major):
Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 4 years of related work experience
