Raytheon Solipsys is searching for a talented, Systems Engineer with an aptitude to work on software-intense distributed systems with emphasis on Software Integration and Test and Customer Field Support.

Key areas of responsibility will include: Software Systems integration, Test procedure development, execution and performance verification, and Customer Field Support and Operator and Maintenance Training.

This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or Salary Grade G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as it relates to the educational requirement for the position.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in Systems or Software Engineering with DoD contract work required.

  • Previous experience performing software integration or customer field support for software systems.

Required Education:

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or other Engineering/Science related discipline.
  • (8 years relevant software integration, customer field support or C2 military experience may be counted in lieu of college degree).

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Solipsys software products and systems.

  • Prior experience developing test methods and procedures to verify software requirements.

  • Understanding of a Requirements Management Tool such as DOORS (preferred) or RequisitePro.

  • Working knowledge of Atlassian software management tools such as Jira.

  • Working understanding of C++ and Java Software and Linux Operating System.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity test methods for software.

  • Understanding of tactical data links such as Link 16.

  • Understanding of automated test methods and tools.

  • Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) techniques, and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and the use of a system architecture management tool such as Sparxsystems Enterprise Architect.

  • Knowledge of Agile engineering processes.

  • Ability to work with standard MS Office product suite applications.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, positively influence team members, establish and maintain excellent customer relationships and deliver positive results.

  • Adept at communicating with all levels within the company, ability to prepare and deliver presentations/summaries (both verbal and written) which appropriately address the intended audience.

  • Willingness for domestic and international travel (~10%).
