Description:

The client is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to help design and support on-prem and cloud data center infrastructures. The consultant must be well versed in technologies such as Cisco UCS, Nutanix and Azure cloud for hosting and management of windows servers.

The consultant should also be well versed in VDI environments such as Citrix. Systems Engineer responsibilities may include but are not limited to: • Manage and assess the server solutions in current production based on applications requirements, current capacity and growth trends • Provide technical services for customers in a highly complex on-prem and cloud environments • Collaborate on technical designs and specifications for projects • Deliver engineering specifications and assist with functional specifications • Provide technical and business analytical leadership for specific infrastructure needs or objectives to meet business requirements • Optimize and facilitate effective solutions to meet infrastructure needs • Develop recommendations in support of project objectives • Develop logical and physical technical artifacts for review • Analyze complex hardware and software issues associated with complex platforms including EMC, NetApp, Nutanix and Cloud storage models • Analyze, Design, Configure, tools for Enterprise workloads • Manage, configure and maintain multi-PB multi-tiered environment both on-prem and in cloud. • Provide performance reports and capacities and make allocation recommendations based on trends/metrics • Participate in capacity planning and assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery exercises Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: • Bachelor of Science degree. • Ten Years of systems engineering experience • Previous IT experience in government is preferred. Experience with the following technologies is a plus, but not required. • Control Up • Printer Logic • SolarWinds Orion • Microsoft Intune and related policy creations.

Skills Requirements: • Required to evaluate customer needs based on applications requirements, current capacity and growth trends • Deliver engineering specifications, assist with functional specifications, and collaborate on technical designs and specifications for projects and initiatives. • Must Provide technical or business analytical leadership for specific needs or objectives in order to meet business requirements. • Work closely with external vendors and other personnel in order to optimize and facilitate the best solution to meet the needs of the business. • Develop recommendations in support of project objectives. Develop logical and physical technical artifacts for review. • Provide technical services for customers in a highly complex environment. Demonstrate ability to assess technical impact to the project/new technology along with technical risks. • Resolve complex problems with little or no guidance.

Independently research and promote specialized technical solutions. • Must have experience with AWS and Azure cloud technologies and their implementations. • Expert knowledge on Microsoft AD/DNS/DFS/File servers. • Must Analyze complex hardware and software issues associated with technologies like Citrix, Cisco UCS, Nutanix and Azure VMWare solutions • Demonstrate domain knowledge in server infrastructure, data management and data protection technologies in both on-prem and cloud solutions. Be able apply the knowledge of these methodologies to create enterprise solutions. • Report on performance and capacities and make allocation recommendations based on trending. • Excellent knowledge on SAN / NAS / FC Switches / • Experience supporting VMWare and Citrix virtualized systems hosted on NetApp, EMC and cloud-based VMWare offerings. • Participate in capacity planning and performance discussions and assist in development and execution of disaster recovery plans. • Must have knowledge with VMware Components ESXi, VCenter, vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations Management, VMware Site Recovery Manager, Zetro Cloud, NetApp, Dell Storage, and Brocade Fibre Channel Networking in private and public cloud is required. • Knowledge on Nutanix Infrastructure and Nutanix file systems • Experience with Enterprise data protection and disaster recover solution, and understand Enterprise application data management requirements BALTIMORE CITY RESIDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY TRIGYN IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER About Trigyn: Trigyn is an IT Services Company that has been in business for 30 years with more than 1,500 resources deployed today.
