Position Objectives: As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will work closely with a talented and motivated problem solver to help engineer, support and optimize Vitalizes' Corporate Systems. This individual must be able to logically address and step through issues by thinking outside the box, collaborating/communicating with teams to find creative solutions. This individual will be expected to provide a high level of customer service which includes working a flexible schedule that can be dictated by enterprise support issues.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 4 or more years of recent experience in a Systems, Network, or Database Engineering role

  • Understands fundamentals of networking, including the OSI model, segmentation, routing, and common protocols and concept

  • Extensive experience with common Windows tools including Active Directory, Exchange, Terminal Service, IIS, File, Print Services, Windows Management Framework and PowerShell

  • Understands the setup and structure of Puppet, Salt Stack, or other configuration management tools including the complexities and limitations of various hierarchical strategies

  • Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server or other similar database technologies, including database design, normalization and setup procedures

  • Knows how to use revision control software in a collaborative environment, including branching, tagging, and merging

  • Software development or scripting experience with multiple languages

  • Has experience with setting up, configuring, and maintaining virtual environments (AWS, GCP, VMware, Hyper-V, etc.), from both a client and server perspective, including use of command-line/API

  • Is familiar with setting up, configuring, and maintaining SAN/NAS devices (aggregates, volumes, snapshots, protocols, etc.)

  • Has experience performing disaster recovery activities

  • Experience with Linux and OSS a plus

The Facilities Chemical Systems Engineer Lead at Micron Technology, Inc., is responsible for working in a team environment with other engineering disciplines to provide detailed designs and construction specifications for the maintenance of site Facilities systems in support of semiconductor manufacturing. In addition, the Chemical Systems Engineer Lead supervises other engineers and coordinates the priorities of the area to engineers, technicians and equipment vendors. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Safety & Quality * Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety policies * Stops work for safety if unsafe conditions and/or behaviors are identified * Utilizes and reviews job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) for work being performed * Follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations including PPE, CoHe (lockout /tagout) and chemical safety * Follows-up on safety and quality related issues immediately and works towards resolution with stakeholders * Actively participates in the EHS program by reporting all EHS-related concerns or problems immediately (maximum 24 hours) * Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches * Always wears appropriate PPE, per JHA, Supervisor, EHS professionals, and/or job designation * Proactively identifies opportunities to reduce potential hazards which may impact personnel health and/or the environment. * Uses proper lifting techniques and works in an ergonomically correct manner * Follows proper change management practices to ensure safety and quality expectations are met * Drives quality improvement initiatives in their area to reduce Fab impacts, improve efficiency and identify cost savings. * Operates and maintains equipment and tools within manufacturer's and company guidelines to ensure safety and quality expectations are met * Ensures area-specific procedures and documents exist and submits updates to content when needed Communication & Collaboration * Ensures appropriate communication with facilities and manufacturing stakeholders * Partners with key stakeholders to develop solutions to continuously improve critical metrics * Partners with stakeholders to resolve equipment/process issues and maximize system stability * Collaborates with areas leaders to create personal performance and development goals * Communicates proactively with leaders and stakeholders on the daily priorities and issues * Attends and participates in meetings and provides relevant technical input * Partners with area leaders and stakeholders to gather input for area improvement * Communicates changes made to equipment and follows business rules for change control * Partners in data collection, gap analysis, and improvement implementation * Proactively communicates issues that could cause Fab impact, defects, tool restrictions, or lost moves * Coordinates with stakeholders and leaders on issues and changes, and provides regular status resources to ensure actions will be completed on time * Defines and leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects of critical importance to Micron * Collaborates with stakeholders on the design and Coordinates and leads meetings and initiates follow-up actions * Provides support for the installation or commissioning of new facilities infrastructure * Provides support for cost and schedule Maintenance, Manufacturing and other department/sites * Provides engineering support to ensure facility compliance with federal, state, and local regulations * Identifies and develops a strategy for equipment/processes that streamlines PM frequencies and effectiveness * Partners with key stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities for equipment/process efficiencies * Works with Manufacturing on excursion root cause identification, elimination, and prevention * Supports corporate requests and assignments * Supports benchmark activities on operational, procedural, engineering, facilities systems * Maintains applicable discipline knowledge, such as chemical theory, instrumentation control theory, high purity principles, etc. * Maintains equipment support knowledge, such as hazard protocol, leak detection, etc. * Drives a culture of TPM including TPM metrics, CIP items, MTAGs, and procedures * Applies standard engineering principles and practices * Establishes procedures and corrective actions to avoid reoccurrences of issues * Utilizes administrative and engineering databases in support of job tracking, engineering data, capital equipment facilitation, and critical system loads and capacities * Performs research and development on emerging facilities technologies to support cutting-edge semiconductor processes * Incorporates safety controls in every aspect of the design, enhancement, and modification process Performance Management * Conducts regular performance management and professional development of direct reports through clear expectations and accountability * Ensures direct reports utilize the performance management tools, including maintaining documentation to capture feedback, plans, and progress to support performance rating * Ensures team members complete all assigned tasks before critical deadlines are passed by maintaining open dialogue and feedback * Defines organizational roles to meet the overall job expectations of the team * Knows Micron policies and partners closely with HR * Ensures the area has succession plans for all key positions * Provides guidance to identify, develop and promote technical expertise (process, device, equipment, etc.) * Meets regularly with team members to review performance, provide feedback and create development plans utilizing SuccessFactors * Partners with direct reports to create
