What do you get to do in this position?

Schneider Electric isseeking a Senior Systems & Business Analyst. This role will have primaryresponsibility for U.S. business reporting, as well as integration of newreporting solutions. This role will work closely with Finance,Accounting, Commercial and Operations teams to understand local requirements,and then work with IT and other resources to integrate these requirements intothe broader BI landscape. We are on a journey to change our legacyBI landscape and drive more value from our data for thebusiness. Tableau is our primary reporting visualization tool, andworking knowledge of Tableau will be beneficial. This role will becritical to the success of how the company uses its information going forward.

The mostcritical aspect of this role is a robust understanding of databases and SQL:mapping user requirements into relational models, rapid prototype and ad-hocdevelopment of procedures and functions, creating views for production modelsand users and maintaining development databases. The ability to create andmaintain and use complex queries during the development cycle of both data andreporting solutions. Database platforms will include: Amazon Redshift,PostgreSQL, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.

Adept at learning newsystems: the role will be required to quickly understand new systems and relatethem back to a common architecture model and act as the central subject matterexpert with the technical teams.

  • 5 - 10 years of experience

  • Basicfinancial and accounting acumen will be critical to translating financialreporting requirements into reporting solutions.

  • Excellentproblem solving and analytical skills with the ability to apply knowledge andcreativity to resolve standard and complex issues.

  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills. The ability to work withfinance, accounting and operations teams to understand, document and translatetheir needs and then work with the technical development teams.

  • Stronginterpersonal skills and ability to work with people from various disciplines.

  • Strongproject management, organizational and prioritization skills with attention todetail.

  • Experiencein the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelinesto support operational processes.

  • Self-motivatedwith the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.

  • Provenability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment,in a high pressure on-call environment.

  • Relentlesspassion for independent learning: The tools and needs for datachange rapidly and we need to push ahead of the curve. It's expected that youare always improving, bringing new ideas to the table and learning to makebetter use of the existing tools.

  • Aresults oriented individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Sometravel may be required.

Responsibilities * Stand-up a reporting and analytics structure within the Aftersales Division to generate complete dealer profitability reporting for NNA executive management and field operations. * Query, analyze, and summarize dealer sales and financial data sets to help drive business strategy, process improvements, and profitability metrics. * Collaborate and communicate effectively with NNA business functions including Business Planning, IS, Sales Operations, Business Management, and region staff. * Work with NNA business functions to develop custom tools and UI data products to assist with the analysis and diagnostics of dealer profitability. * Create a standardized regional and national level reporting structure and delivery Identify and provide input on new technology analytics and reporting solutions that will drive expanded insights and diagnostics on dealer profitability. * Self-starter attitude, can work autonomously, and willing to solve problems with little or no direction while still escalating when appropriate to manager.
