Position Summary

The Sr. Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting Office 365 Suite, Intune and PowerShell Automation. Additionally, this person will be responsible for supporting our primary data center, our Disaster Recovery site, global remote sites and users. Responsibilities will include management

of VMware, Backups, Storage, Active Directory, Databases, Windows & SCCM infrastructure, Alerts, Monitoring and IT tickets.

Sr. Systems Administrator must understand and adhere to company's security policies and procedures. The Sr. Systems Administrator will be part of the global team and will be responsible to identify the infrastructure requirements, propose solution, take a lead, coach teammates and keep up with the growing and dynamic environment needs.

Sr. Systems Administrator will be required to demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and superior communication and organization skills essential in fostering excellent relationships with our team members and employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer O365 Suite (must have)

  • Must possess PowerShell scripting knowledge (must have)

  • Intune

  • Provide mentorship to the desktop support teams.

  • On-call support as part of a rotation with the rest of the team

  • Lead & timely completion of Projects

  • Off-hours maintenance support as needed

  • Other job-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time



  • Pleasanton, California or Las Vegas, NV offices.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Microsoft Professional Certifications preferred


  • 5+ years managing and administering O365

  • 5+ years' experience developing scripts with PowerShell

  • Experience with access control on O365 and managing various security configurations

  • Experience with deploying individual components within O365 (Teams, OneDrive, Planner, etc.)

  • InTune experience

  • Experience with Enterprise Backup software

  • Superior customer service skills

  • Active Directory Knowledge

  • MCSE and/or ITIL Certification Preferred

As a team leader, you will provide direction to the operations support team. You will install, deploy, and upgrade servers to support our existing infrastructure. You will design and implement upgrades, develop infrastructure, manage and automate recurring tasks, and help ensure that technology is always an aid, not an obstacle. Working in a demanding, fast-paced environment, you will need exceptional technical expertise and individual initiative while maintaining a user-centered attitude. This examination will establish an Open Competitive and Promotional list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by the Office of Human Resources. This recruitment will be used to fill vacancies in the Criminal division of the District Attorney's Office. Some positions may be Grant Funded. Grant Funded positions are subject to continuation based on availability of grant funds and the employee will be terminated without right of appeal when such funds are no longer available. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and four (4) years of full-time professional level experience in systems analysis and design and hardware and software acquisition in a departmental environment, including some lead or supervisory experience. Additional experience in systems analysis and/or programming may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two (2) years. An advanced degree in appropriate field preferred. Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Plan, organize and install departmental personal computer and network hardware and software. Develop program specifications, logic and processing steps; may code programs in a variety of languages using structural programming techniques or may modify personal computer PowerShell language and related systems utilities. May install and configure personal computer and/or network systems. May install, design, maintain, and/or troubleshoot a complex computer inter-network, including physical cable and telecommunications within the department and with other County users. Plan and develop test data to validate new or modified applications; design input and output forms and documents. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, as needed, for departmental user staff. Write program documentation, user procedures, documentation and instructions and instructs departmental staff in using hardware and software applications and automated systems; conduct training programs and provide one-on-one instruction as required. Maintain records and prepare periodic and special reports of work performed. Maintain current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommend upgrades to departmental management. Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team. Use standard office equipment, including a computer, in the course of the work; may drive a personal or County motor vehicle in the course of the work to visit various departmental work sites. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for an extended period of time, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Must be capable of traveling to and from various County locations to attend meetings and other off-site events.
