The Sr. System Engineer is responsible for leading technical and engineering activities in the ADAS field within the Advanced Engineering group.

Your challenge...

  • Lead setting up of demonstrators and technical leadership towards the promotion of Valeo's ADAS technologies including automatic low speed maneuvering and connected car

  • Be responsible for managing assigned projects from technical inception to completion and apply project management tools/techniques to ensure on time delivery, technical risk mitigation and quality products

  • Bring up the demo platform with most current SW and HW

: Engage system requirement engineering

: Interface with SW and HW Teams for overall vehicle systems architecture development

: Develop system architecture, SIL/HIL development, and in-vehicle implementation and troubleshooting

: Data collection and manipulation improve existing algorithm and/or develop new algorithm

: Maintain existing SW and control SW versions via SW engineering practices

: Own and improve system test cases

: conduct in-vehicle calibration and system testing

  • Represent as the technology owner and demonstrate the functionalities at customer events and tech shows

  • Contribute to new function development with internal teams

  • Thorough technical documentation

  • Clear and precise communication with internal/external customers

Let's talk about you...

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics or Electromechanical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science, or Physics; Master's Degree in Engineering Management or any of the above is also a plus.

  • You have a minimum of 4 years' experience in automotive system development and system engineering.

  • You have experience in ADAS including autonomous driving, Sensor Fusion, ADAS sensors (Radar or Lidar or Front Camera or Surround View Camera/Ultrasonics), or wireless communication technologies

  • You have a strong background and hands on experience in Embedded Software Programming

  • You have experience with vehicle retrofits and troubleshooting

  • You have experience in advanced vehicular interfaces: CAN, Flexray, BroadR-Reach, and Ethernet

  • You have experience with programming Languages such as C/C , Python, Matlab

  • Experience in Linux including ROS, driver development preferred

  • Experienced in DOORS, ISO26262 preferred.

  • You have experience in dSpace Autobox and other similar platforms preferred

  • You have experience in AI/Neural Network preferred

As a System Architect you are responsible for defining a system architecture matching the system requirements and for planning the system integration. Your challenges... * Develops and maintains the system architecture [SyAD] in terms of one or more software, mechanical and electrical elements * with defined interfaces [HSI, [HwMI]. * (Guidance: software residing on separate MCU, DSP or FPGA should be considered as separate system components) * Ensures that the system architecture is consistent with stakeholder and system requirements in alignment with the P2 * architecture and best practices, architecture rules etc. * Analyses new and changed stakeholder and system requirements * Allocate system requirements to system design elements of the system architecture and document this in [SyAD]; ensure * completeness of [SyAD] * Defines, details and maintains system internal interfaces of modules of the system architecture and documents this in the * [SyAD] * Participates in reviews of the [SyAD], [HSI] and [HwMI] and follows-up on open findings * Identifies design elements in the [SyAD] to be tested during system integration testing and aligns with System Integration Test * engineers * Participates in reviews of the system test plan together with the System Integration Test Engineer * Reacts on SIQ requests and to participate to SIQ meetings * To escalate issues regarding system architecture according to escalation matrix/level * To request all necessary inputs to carry on a team's duty (project plan & schedule, ..) Let's talk about you... * You have at least 6 years' experience in system architecture and design, preferably in the automotive industry * You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer or Software Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics or Electromechanical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering. * You have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities * You are a very capable and effective communicator with colleagues and customers at all organizational levels.
