Raytheon IIS is seeking a senior systems engineer or a senior software engineer to perform AF DCGS system administration, sustainment and integration functions across Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) systems. This requisition is open to candidates willing to work with a well-established and evolving team at Beale AFB, California.
Duties include but are not limited to providing administration, support and integration of existing and new weapon system infrastructure that is based upon Solaris, Linux and Windows operating systems and associated hardware. Additional duties include providing direct active mission support and administration of RADAR and Optical airborne sensors via ground based control systems. Prospective candidates are not required to have existing knowledge of all IT systems and mission domains but strong experience in these areas is desired.
New members of the Raytheon team will initially work closely with more experienced engineers but will eventually be expected to work with limited supervision and be willing and able to train junior engineers and administrators. Candidates should be self-motivated, organized, possess excellent written and verbal skills and have the ability to work independently. The candidate will be expected to support and respond to customer needs with accuracy and efficiency.

6 years of related work experience
Actively monitor, administer and troubleshoot complex GEOINT systems consisting of Solaris, Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
Participate in integration activities by working closely with the customer, Raytheon in-plant engineering and other OEMs when new capabilities are fielded
Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and administrators
Provide direct mission support of U-2 and Global Hawk operations using dedicated ground control systems to monitor and control sensor and ground system health/status and quickly resolve issues as they occur
Perform incident reporting and logistics during problem resolution
Work as part of a company agnostic team across the AF DCGS enterprise, pursue Raytheon company goals and exceed customer requirements while working well with other team members in the local area
UNIX (Solaris or Linux) and Microsoft Windows system administration
Experience administering VMware (containers, storage and resources) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, etc.)
Experience with military GEOINT domain to include U-2, Global Hawk, MQ-1 and MQ-9 sensors and Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) architectures
Familiar with the concepts of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and frameworks (ex. DDF)
Administration of COTS or GOTS software solutions used for GEOINT analysis (Socet GXP, Xplorer, Unicorn, mIRC chat, MAAS, etc.) or other OEM software (APS, GSEG, CICS, etc.)
Network administration and troubleshooting
Sybase, Oracle, MySQL or MongoDB database system administration
Familiarity with the Serena (ADSM) trouble ticket reporting system
Prior Air Force AFSC 3D0X or 3D1X background
Required Security Clearance
Required Education or Equivalent Experience
BS in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) or related discipline and 6 years of experience in area of study
Or, 14 years of experience in the field of computer system administration including some military DCGS work history
