Deposco is seeking a Senior QA to join our core quality and solutions team. This role at Deposco offers a unique opportunity to use your business skills, supply chain planning knowledge and software aptitude to contribute directly to the delivery of the product within a fast-paced high-growth environment. You will quickly become an expert with our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions and target markets, and use that knowledge to facilitate the growth of our software solutions.

The right candidate will have experience in supply chain planning, specifically in the areas of demand forecasting and inventory replenishment. Successful candidates for this role could see multiple advancement opportunities to the product owner or sales engineering roles.

What Youll Do:

  • Research and establish the industry best practices in testing demand and supply planning SaaS software
  • Follow Agile principles and deliver software using Sprint-based delivery
  • Partner with the engineering team and product management team to provide a depth of product knowledge and testing experience, questioning the impact of features under development
  • Partner with other team members to evaluate the requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Identify test cases & investigate edge cases that require analysis and testing


What You'll Need:

  • At least 6 to 8 years of experience in software testing preferably in supply chain planning
  • At least 3+ years of experience in testing SaaS software
  • Knowledge and experience in the following key Supply Chain Planning skills:
    • Experience in supply chain cost reduction initiatives by utilizing sales and production forecasts
    • Managing order placement for materials by factoring in vendor lead times, Available to Plan days, cost, and requirements across multiple distribution sites
    • Supporting the logistics and supply chain team with warehouse management data analysis and document construction
    • Gathering data & conducting analysis for improving organizations supply chain operations
    • Seasonal Forecasting in preparation for selling special inventory, seasonal and promotional items
    • Knowledge on Replenishment methods, Optimization and reconciliation of inventory across supply chain
    • Knowledge of general demand planning processes such as S&OP

Working alongside our team of product managers and professional services team, you will oversee the data coming in and going out from the suite of applications to bring consistency across the customer project implementations. The right candidate will have experience in acquiring, harmonizing and cleansing data to generate key performance indicators (KPIs) to understand supply chain metrics and create reports to present supply chain performance accordingly.<br><p><br></p><p><strong>What You'll Do: </strong><br></p><ul> <li>Work with the product leaders to understand overall data vision and strategy, and identify new initiatives for continuous improvement or process innovation.</li> <li>Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain datasets</li> <li>Support data scientists in basic data science tasks, such as data prep and harmonization</li> <li>Work with product owners and business analysts to identify data requirements.</li> <li>Work with data engineers and software developers to translate data requirements into software requirements</li> <li>Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets</li> <li>Ensure the new software features are capturing the relevant data so they are KPI-ready</li> <li>Establish and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the business</li> <li>Gather data and generate reports and/or charts to support</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>What You'll Need:</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related degree, with a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.</li> <li>Supply chain education, training and/or certification through MOOCS and/or professional organizations.</li> <li>2+ years of demonstrated experience in data analysis using technologies like R, Python, SQL and similar related technology.</li> <li>Proficiency in basic data discovery, preparation and visualization.</li> <li>High-level understanding of analytics techniques.</li> <li>Effective facilitation skills to liaise between users and technical roles</li> <li>Proficient using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint</li> <li>Proficient running SQL queries against data </li> <li>Proficient with data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI)</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in the area of professionally presenting insights and results from data science activities to a non-technical audience.</li> <li>Enthusiastic and positive attitude.</li> <li>Strong team and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and collaborate with team members both technically and functionally.
